I picked up this OtterBox for under $19 (on sale). I had one before (the commuter model) and it was a heavy duty case. This one is even stronger. It’s a bit bulky but you can tell this thing will survive drops, which is what will happen with your phone everyday all day if you have kids or have an on-the-go life. I recommend purchasing this model over any other model. You might not think it’s cutesy at first, but will be kissing it after it keeps your phone ringing despite that onto the concrete fall. It has a screen protector and it brings a detachable belt clip. Which actually acts as an extra layer of protection. It’s an awesome case if you care about protecting your phone.

Have used this case on my IPhone 5S for about 2 months. Includes a case for the phone and a separate attachment that can be used to clip the phone on your clothes (in either horizontal or vertical position). Case provides opening so the fingerprint scanner will work and has a cover to prevent screen scratches. Note that it is not waterproof but appears to reasonably protect edges and corners of phone.

I needed a full-body iphone case as my screen had started to lift out of the main case. This case fully covers the phone, keeping everything where it should be, while providing more than ample protections from water or dropping. My only con is that the plastic cover doesn't sit entirely flat on my screen, (may be a result of my screen puffing out); this creates a need to press slightly harder to register my touch on the iphone, but it's not enough of a detraction to really bother me.

If you are the type of person that cares for their phone and feels like any drop could create a dent in the shell or a crack screen on the phone, the best way to go is with this otterbox case. you will now regret investing in it since its sturdy case makes you feel safe if one day your phone falls to the ground or concrete.

Thie cars is light, easy to grip, and not too bulky.

great case to keep your iPhone in. I am student and I sometimes drop it and have never had to replace my phone very durable.

This OtterBox Defender seems to offer good protection of the phone. It is a little bulky, but overall I like it.

Heavy duty protection for your phone, perfect fit!

It's a big, full otterbox. It's what you would expect. A little large, but good protection. It comes with the plastic over the screen. This phone is used by a younger child, so protection is key, not size. It was on sale, and had the protection I wanted, including port covers, etc. I expect it will last a while!

I've used Otterboxes for 5 years and they have always worked for what they are intended for. It's a little bulkier, but your phone won't break when it falls from great heights. Like, say at the peak of a roller coaster onto hard ground. THIS IS NOT A WATERPROOF CASE. You will need to take it apart occasionally to clean everything because it's also not dirt proof. The list of things that are open are: front camera and speaker, back camera and flash, home button, and bottom mic and speaker. I'm not deep sea diving, playing apps in my shower or chasing tornadoes whilst riding dirt bikes so I don't think I need a sealed case that can't be replaced by a basic sandwich bag.

I love the defender series and I love the color. As many times as my phone has been dropped this has protected my iPhone wonderfully... No chipping no cracking and the case resists scratches/scuffs. I also love the new feature to the case where I can actually use the thumbprint recognition program on my phone.

I had started a new business, so I went to Best Buy to purchase a new phone. After my purchase I was informed, by th sales associate that they would match the price online. Working construction, my phone is put thru a beating, without this case I am sure that, by now my phone would have incurred some damage.

The product is great for teenagers with smart phones. Even the most conscientious teenager is going to drop the phone once an awhile and nice to have a strong durable case to help. Already had 1 fall and case held up and did great job and no phone damage. The only knock was the color options available at the store, didn't have time to wait for special order via website. Would like to have more color choices at store made available if they exist..

Active family has 5 iPhone 5's all in OtterBox Defenders. Phones used for obvious reasons plus during long distance runs & long distance biking and have been dropped during these outtings numerous times on all different surfaces with no damage to phones. Phone was even run over by my daughter's bike, no damage. Phone fits in jean's back pocket; does not slide around in car while on center consule. I will only buy OtterBox Defenders. Upgrading to iPhone 6 Plus for work and have to wait for OtterBox Defender. Hurry Up! Bought this one as a gift for a friend who just switched to an iPhone 5s. All 5 of our OtterBox Defenders are about 2 years old. Considering 4 new ones as Christmas gifts.

This a good case for everyday use. I removed the plastic screen protector as I already had the stick on type. Call clarity is very good and I see no degradation in connectivity as a result of the case. The case lacks protection from the elements, so care must be taken if working outside in inclement weather. This case replaced my Lifeproof case. After 2 failed Lifeproof cases, I needed something that would last, so lets hope this is it.

My son is 19 and is attached to his phone. Sounds normal, except he watches videos instead of calling or doing social media. Having the OtterBox to protect his phone was a must! He drops it and since it is in the case, I won't use a new phone until it is ssfely secured in its Otter Box case.

I had an iPhone 5 in a Lifeproof case and the first time it was dropped the screen shattered. After taking it to a Mac Genius at the Apple Store, they told me to go get an Otterbox. They said they often saw shattered phones that had been in Lifeproof cases but Otterbox was reliable. Man were they right! I have a 17 month old who loves to sneak away my phone. It has been dropped, stepped on and kicked and is still in perfect condition safely nestled in a cute pink camo Otterbox Case, which I found cheaper at Best Buy Online (and had delivered to the store for same day pick-up) than anywhere else! I love my Otterbox and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone I know, especially friends with Lifeproof cases.

I like the fit of this otterbox better than the older ones. It's slim and still feels like it will protect the phone. What I don't like is the hole in the screen protector it lets dirt and moisture between the phone and the screen protector. I know it has to be like that because of the fingerprint ID
