That I know works seeing I dropped it in Target before Christmas when I thought I had it secured in the holder. It was not and dropped on the floor. No repercussions it is working fine. I do not like the holders clip which is very difficult to release when you have an incoming call. I have lost a few phone calls because I couldn't get the phone out of the holder before the call went to voice mail.

We’re sorry to . . . well, disappoint you with the OtterBox Defender for your iPhone 5C. Since this case was not intended to be completely sealed, as for example a waterproof case, we felt like there would be better quality interaction with the device if we allowed for an uninterrupted flow of the front facetime camera, receiver/front microphone, and Home button if they were left open. We completely understand your point, but hopefully you are getting a smooth enough fit between your device and the screen protector that there isn’t too much infiltration. If you feel like there might be a true defect in the case that is allowing significant debris to get inside, please feel free to give our friendly Otters a call at 1-855-688-7269, and we can get you set up with a warranty claim for a replacement.
