Like all Otter Boxes, it does its job dutifully and provides excellent protection for drops and rough handling. But it also adds a little bit of heft and bulk that minimizes the iPhone experience and takes away from its slim profile. The tradeoff can't be avoided though, and if you are afraid you may drop and break your phone, this should assuage your fears.

I have had otter box cases for all of my phones and they are the best thing ever. Great protection the only downside is they are not waterproof but if that was a big deal I would had bought a life proof case.

Great product but a little pricey The OtterBox I've had in the past have always held up to all my drops being a contractor however they only last about a year before the facing starts peeling off of the cover OtterBox used to have a nice walking program however for the price I would think that Case would last for more than a year

No stranger to Otter Boxes, I purchased my latest one to protect my iPhone 6. I purchased the first two Otter boxes to protect the iPads of my then 7 year-old great nephew and1 year old great niece. The latter learned to walk on whatever happened to be on the floor, and occasionally that meant her iPad. The Otter box was an excellent source of defense against wayward feet. The iPhone protector seems to work equally well. My only complaint is the failure of the bottom slot to make room for the charging plug, so I have to take off the protection when I want to charge the device. I deal with it, since taking the cover off and putting it back on is not difficult. All in all, a good purchase.

This is my second Otter box. The first was for iPhone 4. The rubber part on the 4's case was a little too big and didn't fit well; the rubber part on my 6s fits a lot better. I also love the color!

I am a fan of the Otter Box Defender, because of the 3 layers of protection. I used a red Otter Box Defender on an earlier version of the iPhone. The color was very helpful for finding my phone in my handbag and in the various places that I leave it around the house. I did have a blue Otter Box Defender which did not work as well for spotting my i Phone. I specifically looked for "red" for this purchase and found it at Best Buy. I have used an Otter Box Defender for 2+ years. I have dropped my phone several times and there was no damage to the phone.m

Was very easy to install. Doesn't appear too bulky, but by adding it does add some bulk. Haven't noticed any problems with sound. Presume it will protect if dropped as it has a cushiony feel to it.

I spent over a month reading reviews on various cases, and in fact had originally decided on the life proof Fre Power case. Once I learned that the case requires microusb vs a lightning connector to charge, and that it obstructs the speakers and microphone, I decided to try this one out. This case is not that much bigger than my phone, and protects it well. I have had several drops from 5-6 feet onto concrete and not a single crack or scratch. The stoppers that you have to move to charge or use the headphone jack work well, and the speaker, touchid, and microphone work perfectly with the case on. The orange on the front make it easy to quickly identify from far away. Highly recommend!

Have had Lifeproof cases for the last 10 years due to their water proof ability. I lived near the beach down south and after I lost my iPhone 5 in the ocean, I went Lifeproof and never looked back. Since then I moved away from the beach :( and no longer need a water proof case. I have also been very disappointed in the long term quality of Lifeproof products. Also tired of the hassle with a special charging cord and the fact that my apple car play will not work with my Lifeproof. I gave up on the Lifeproof cases and went with this one. Really super pleased with the quality and fit of this case. Works perfectly for what I now need.

I am a bit prone to dropping my phone (even threw it accidentally more than once), this case has kept the phone in like new condition - no complaints and I love the color.

Otterbox cases never disappoint! The fit is perfect and the style is simple which is exactly what I wanted. The protection is great. I would recommend Otterbox to anyone!

I must say, when I started purchasing expensive smart phones years ago a friend told me about the Otterbox, and I have been sold on them ever since! I have a tendacy to work in harsh environments like demo and construction or landscaping and often forget I have my phone in my pocket. Never have any of my iPhones ever get damaged! I bought this case for my son's iPhone he got for Xmas knowing he is much more neglectful! The outside cover will eventually stretch and not fit as tight but you can replace this piece if need be for a fraction of a new case. I have never had to replace a case and often remove them to clean the nooks and crevices where debris builds up.

This case looks great and seems to be able to do the job. Besides the Lifeproof which is a lil more expensive. The Otterbox protects the main parts of my phone without being too bulky.

I have dropped my brand new phone and feared the worst. However, thanks to my Otter Box there wasn't a scratch on it. I carry it in my purse and so far it does not show any wear and tear.

Purchased as a gift for my mother. She has the rose gold iPhone 6s, and the case compliments the phone very well. Not too vibrant, and protects the phone (she drops her phone often).

Otter box is one of my favorite brands. Their cases are always well made. The only critique is that the 3.5 mm jack port does not fit all aux jacks. It also looks like it is not properly aligned. But! The case still works and once again protects my phone better than my friends who don't have an otter box case

Otterbox is a great choice for protection of your phone. Not waterproof--only drawback--but if you are just a little clumsy like me, the drop protection is well worth the investment.

This is my second otter box. I used one with my 4s for two years and it protected my phone from several drops and scrapes. The built in screen protector is another great advantage.

I had the Otterbox Defender for my iPhone 5 and it worked great. It even protected my phone when I accidentally dropped the encased phone into a deep puddle of water during a rainstorm. It took me about 5 seconds to find the phone and I immediately took it out of the case, blew it off by mouth, drove home, then dried the phone using a hairdryer. The phone still worked. So, even though it doesn't state waterproof, it still protects from water. I think this is a great protector for anyone who regularly drops phones which I have done many times. The only negative is that when clicking it onto the plastic holster, over the years, it eventually wears down the small strip of rubber framing the lock tab in the middle of the side of the case. Still, not enough of a deterrent since I got the Defender again for my iPhone 6S. I gave the old Defender to my wife for her iPhone 5 and will try to take a photo of the wear I mention, and will update this review later.

Bought my son his first cell phone for his birthday and wanted to make sure it had the best protection possible. I told him that he could pick out a case, but it had to be an OtterBox. He chose this blue one. He has had his phone for about a month now, and of course, has dropped it a few times. Grr. So glad we went with the OtterBox because the phone is still in perfect condition and the case is holding up great too.
