The LifeProof case was waterproof but not sturdy enough therefore when I dropped phone it shattered. The Otterbox has a sturdy hard plastic frame to protect your phone with a softer outer covering. I also like the color selection that was available. The openings for the USB Cable and the microphone are perfect for ease of connection.
