I bought this for an employee that is on construction sites often. He has used this case on his last three phones. He says that he drops his phone all the time and this case has protected it from damage. His 2 year old phone looked brand new when we took it out. It is a little more bulky but if you need the durability, this is right case.

I have used Otter Box for my last 3 cell phones which I continually drop. Never had a problem with screens cracking or anything physical to the phone. My wife even dropped hers in water. When she realized what had happened, she pulled it out and the phone is still working 3 years later with t he same Otter Box protection.

The case is great...I only gave it 4 stars because I didn't care for the clip that it comes with. The clip is huge and bulky...I don't use it.

This is a great case for the price we paid. It's a little bulkier than I like, but it protects the phone well, which is the important part.

This case definitely serves it purpose. I have dropped my phone on concrete several times over the last few days (from hip height) with no issues occurring to the phone. The material dead end the fall and prevents the skipping/bouncing around from a drop that other cases I have tried couldn't prevent.

Purchased the Otterbox Defender for my new iPhone 8. I have been using Otterbox for the past 8 years and in my opinion, they are the most reliable case in regards to protection. It has protected my phones during nuermous deployments and everything else. I highly recommend this case to protect your phone!

I bought this phone case as a gift. The color was exactly the same as the picture. The case itself was easy to use and has done a great job protecting the phone.

Pretty slim, lightweight, have dropped on concrete and phone is fine, little bigger than lifeproof but much cheaper

Would be 5 stars if the built-in plastic screen protector was only an option that could easily be removed. I did remove it by cutting if off per a YouTube video. Already having a Zagg glass screen protector, keeping the plastic one on would make it difficult to use all the sensitive touch features of the iPhone 8. The way I have the case now, it’s a 5 star case. So comfortable and I can still fit my iPhone 8 in my pocket. There’s a holster included when I need it.

This case is amazing. It fits in perefect with me for the work I do. It’s not too bulky but just right, very durable, and it does exactly what I need it to do. Best part is it came with the belt clip to holster onto my belt. But yes I definitely recommend it

I always use Otterbox products for my Apple products. I know some other designers have cute and sleeker phone protectors but this one always protects my phone which saves me money and that’s what I value. I drop my phone all the time; Otterbox protects it.

Easier than phone to grip. Excellent protection in almost all conditions. Always liked the build quality.

This otterbox houses my new iPhone 8 but is the second otterbox case I have had on an iPhone. It has taken some getting used to with the extra covering on the surface of the iPhone but overall I’m very pleased with this newest version of the Otterbox.

There isn't much negativity with an otterbox case. They are great cases to ensure you phone looks as good as new 2 years down the road. The only con might be the case being so big, however its worth the extra size for protecting your $800 phone.

Both my husband and I have this model case for our iPhone8s. I've already dropped my nice new phone a couple of times and put a small scratch in the plastic cover--and there is no damage to my phone. It is not waterproof, as I discovered this morning when I had trouble with the interactivity of my screen in a few places--a few drops of water had gotten between the screen and the phone. Otherwise it has been a great case.
