I've been purchasing an Otterbox since I had the iPhone 5. Very strong, durable, and long lasting.

This case has saved my phone so many times from my infant, she drops it all the time and it has yet to break. Great color and overall great case, not bulking or heaving and easy to install.

I've never been a big fan of Otterbox cases but wanted to give a Defender case a try since I was heading to the beach on vacation and knew I'd be taking a lot of pics. I've used the Commuter series in the past and it was ok. First let me say that this case will protect your phone from almost anything. So, it does what it's supposed to do. But here's the bad part. The rubber buttons that cover the volume, power, etc. are ridiculously hard to press. Seems all Otterbox cases that I've used are this way. The built in screen protector doesn't lay flat against the phone screen so you have to push twice as hard to get your finger to actually make contact with the screen. This will drive you crazy. It will double the size and weight of your phone. It's very bulky as you would expect. It will scratch your phone's screen! The hard plastic of the case will scratch your glass and over time will actually leave an outline of scratches around your phone's earpiece that match the case opening. You think the case is protecting it when actually its scratching it up. Too expensive. Go with an alternative like Supcase. They are less expensive and have a better fit and feel.

I bought my otter case because I needed a cover. I loved it just would of preferred a different color.

If you have kids, it's the best case to protect your I phone, only thing, the case is a little bulky!
