I've always been a fan of the defender otterbox. If you don't want to deal with cracked phones, get this case!!!

The review summary says it all. If you want massive drop protection, this is a top-of-the-line case, but I simply couldn't stand the ridiculous amount of bulk to achieve that level of safety. I work indoors on a computer for a job, so only require minimal protection. If you're a construction worker, linesman, or another profession that has you out amongst the elements with an increased likely hood of the phone being dropped, then it's likely a good contender for you.

I've been using an otterbox since the iPhone 4 and have never been let down. Bulky but well worth the protection!
