I'm not sure if this was originally made for a iPod touch but it doesn't fit. It's too tight to fit properly.

I recently upgraded to an iPod Touch 5 after having my iPod Touch 4. I never had an Otterbox case for my iPod Touch 4, but this is best protection! It's a little difficult to put it on, but follow the instructions inside of the pamphlet and it will guide you right through it! It is well worth the money, because Apple products tend to crack easily. I didn't mind spending $40 on this! I'm so glad I purchased it! I feel much better that my case is well protected!

This did not work for me it did not fit the 6 gen like it said it would

This certainly will protect the device, in the event it's dropped. As others have said the screen protector does need to be I guess tighter against the screen. That would be why I dropped a star

I only use OtterBox products for my tech. I have dropped my phone countless amounts of times and the phone has never cracked or sustained any damage. My Otterbox has sustained cracks and damage but not my phone. The case for my iPod touch feels very sturdy and of high quality. This case exceeds my expectations and also comes with a loop to put around your wrist :-).

My daughter requested a really good case since her friends and cousins had all destroyed their iPod. This one has taken some abuse and has done it's job well. Only complaint is that it will not fit on the charging station/alarm clock while in the case. My understanding is that only the thinnest and least protective cases will fit snug enough to use a charging stand while covered.

As an avid Otterbox user it was no surprise to me how perfect this Otterbox Defender was for the iPod Touch.

Purchased for my son to help protect his ipod. Offers some protection for expensive device.

Great case for my 12 year old son's iPod! Great protection! He loves the look and it was very easy install. I would definitely recommend.

I am happy with this purchase, case seems to be very durable. One con is that I can not use it on my speakers unit with the case on, wish the product was designed somehow where you did not have to take the case off to listen to music or charge it on select types of speaker/charging devices.

I needed a case my 6 year old couldn't get off her new iPod Touch. The otterbox was a great option. Its colorful, durable, and she can't remove it herself.

Just bought this product and so far so good. It was easy to put on and had holes for all the hook ups such as headphones and charger. Seem sturdy and I am clumsy so I feel better about having protection on fragile devices.

This cover is really great and it looks awesome, definitely the best cover, and I had a lot of them.

If you buy an Ipod you must buy a defender case. This one is a very good one.

I bought this case as a gift for my niece. She recently got an iPod touch and was tough on her old one. This case has been a rockstar. It's still slim enough to hold but study enough for a 6 year old and her younger siblongs to abuse.

I bought this case for the iPod touch I bought for my 2-yr old. I wanted something that could stand up to terrible two's and this does the trick. It has been dropped, thrown, and stepped on. And, we have not had a problem.

Protection is good can hold on to it easier so you wont drop it
