I think the Otterbox case provides decent protection against drops only. It does add some bulk and the belt clip is easy to catch on items and breaks when it does. Other than that, I think it does it's job. I like the fact that it has a built in screen protector and on most cases, it covers the camera as well.

This case is great. It does a really great job at protecting the fragile S4.

After breaking my previous phone I had to get durable protection for my next device. I went with the Otterbox because of the 3 layers of protection. So far so good. Only negatives are the extra size and weight the case adds to the phone. Also the screen protector isn't the best but gets the job done.

As an avid phone dropper....I finally invested my money buying this product....and how glad was I that I did. The Otterbox is a great purchase for all of my fellow phone droppers out there. Within the first week of the purchase...I dropped my new Galaxy S4 on the concrete...it was like time went in slow motion as my phone bounced off the hard surface. But thankfully the Otterbox saved the day. My phone was perfectly fine....and the case didn't even have a scratch on it. Yes the price is high.....but if you have "butterfingers" when it comes to phones (I have cracked 4 phones screens before purchasing the Otterbox) like me....this purchase is DEFINITELY worth it. The one con is the bulky-ness of the case...it does make your phone bigger...but in the end isn't worth to protect your new investment.

saves the phone if it doesn't get lost first a little pricey

I've killed 2 other phones because of carrying them in pants pockets and unintentionally crushing/banging/bending them, so if I've got to be the douchey guy who wears a phone holster, I may as well get one that really protects my expensive phone. This one works really well, with a thick shell for the phone and a hard plastic belt case. I haven't had any problems with the screen cover making the touchscreen tougher to navigate, either. I'd recommend this.
