This case works well for my son's S5 but the plastic screen gets dirty underneath a lot which frustrates him.

as cases go its a good case, but it really did make an already very large phone way to big. wish it was a bit more thin.

I bought this for my Galaxy S5 which its great but people have a hard time hearing me speak.

Case is fine, I just wish there was more color selection available.

Otter boxes arebusualky bulky but I felt this case was too bulky

This case might as well be bullet proof! When I first bought my Samsung Galaxy s5 I had to adjust to the size of the phone itself. I like that OtterBox provides a great quality case. I have dropped my phone a few times and the case has kept it well protected. The color is neon, as in, it's bright! The color on the website looks darker than it is in person. Great case!

I just had an experience with how durable the OtterBox defender series is. I was leaving a Burger King and had placed my Samsung Galaxy S5 on the roof of my car so that I could look for something in the back seat. When I got in the car I drove away down the highway. After a half mile or so I received a call and answered the call through my stereo system. After the call I looked on the passenger seat for the phone which is usually where I have it when driving. I did not see it on the seat. The dash said "No paired phone found". I had another cell phone with me so I called the number and did not hear it ring so I made a U turn and went back on the highway, making still another U turn to go on the other side. As I was driving along I found it laying on the road in the slow lane. I stopped my car on the shoulder and put the 4 way flashers on, cars were heading right for it. I was able to retrieve it and it had been run over a few times but other than a few dings on the plastic edge of the Otterbox frame around the screen and a few tire marks on the back all is well.

I`ve used the otter brand on many of my different phone but the screen on the one for my Samsung is not what it was on my iphones it scratched the first day..

I bought this otter box for my sons Galaxy phone. He has dropped a few times and nothing has happened to the phone. It is a bit bulky but as long as it protects the phone the job is being done.

The case does exactly what it says it will do: it protects the phone and keeps it from getting dinged up. However, it is on the bulky side, which can get frustrating if you are not used to it.

I love the color of this case and it protects the phone well from drops. However due to the light color (I got the purple) I was disappointed when the dye from my jeans rubbed off on it and it will not come off. That is not the fault of the case though. I will only trust otterbox with my phones and they are guaranteed. My son's came apart after about 6 months. He emailed them and sent photos and they replaced it without issues. Our phone get dropped often and have always been protected with this case. Provides worry free protection. Even Teen proof.

I've had this case for a little while now, so this is not a first impression, but an experienced review over time. At first I thought the case was great - sturdy build that will protect my phone from drops, water, or anything that's thrown at it. After a couple weeks I would learn that the protection is that great, but there were some flaws in the case. The screen protector is built right into the case itself and is not replaceable, nor can you order just that one part from Otterbox. The screen gets scratched very easily and just can't be avoided- the alternative is to cut the clear part out of the case and use a normal screen protector after. There also is a problem with the power button. Sometimes it just doesn't connect with the button on the phone and you have to kind of manipulate it to work. This may not be as much as a case flaw as the button on the phone is very small and flush, but it is annoying and I think Otterbox could have done a better job with that.

With my previous experiences with Otterbox, it has always done what its suppose to; protect the phone from the elements and falls. In the past the soft shell would stretch out-of-shape when removed more than a few times. They have definitely changed that and improved on the way the soft shell fits over the hard shell as I put it through its paces. The design is beautiful and definitely looks great. Although the orange hard shell makes it a Lil easier to spot if you lose it I'd prefer a darker color bit that's just me. The headphone jack could be a Lil easier to access but not without taking away protection so no complaints there. Overall, definitely worth the buy.
