Solid case with good protection. Good fit and easy to install

I've been using OtterBox Defenders to protect my smartphones ever since I got my first smartphone. Unfortunately they add a bit of bulk to an otherwise small and sleek phone, but that's what armor does, and make no mistake, this is armor for your phone. And I'm convinced that they're the main reason I've been able to keep my phones in such good shape. Now my complaints are few, other then the aforementioned bulk, I feel their rubber outer shells wear out far to soon. But I'm also not the typical customer buying a new smartphone as soon as a new one is released. The other issue that I had with this particular case (for a Galaxy S7, not an Edge) was that the screen protector kept allowing dust and dirt to get underneath it. And it would make it difficult to use the touchscreen from time to time. I was able to remedy this with a small modification and a conventional stick on protector. Overall I've been quite happy with the case, and I will most likely buy another one for my next phone.

This is my 2nd Otterbox Defender. I loved the first one that I used with my Galaxy S5 for 4 years. Upgrading to the S7, of course I went back to the old reliable. Only complaint this time is that the screen protector doesn't fit as tightly as it did on the S5... Hoping that it just needs breaking in, because I'm not too fond of the spring in the screen cover that causes problems with the touch screen more than I would like. That is the sole reason I did not rate it 5 stars.

Purchases for Samsung Galaxy S7 -- the defender series is bulky, but I don't have any hesitation that it will protect my phone from inadvertent drops. This is my 3rd Defender case for the Samsung phones and each one has looked pristine at the end of my 2 years when I go to sell my old phone when I get the upgrade. I don't use the clip since I think it looks dorky, but I tried it out and it's easy to get the phone in and out but when it's in the holster, it's solidly in there. Highly recommend, if you can deal with the bulk of it. Only minor issue is that where the button is at the bottom of the phone is a port for dust to slide under the housing. I have to open the case up every couple of weeks when I get annoyed enough at the looking at the dust. Otherwise it's great.

Works great. Protects phone if dropped. Easy to clean.

This is my 2nd Otterbox Defender for 2 of my Samsung Galaxy phones. The protection of the case is Gr8. Had my 1st phone in the Case and it was run over by a car. The ONLY damage was a shattered glass screen protector (no damage to the actual screen). This was an easy fix and nothing wrong with phone. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because of the redesign of the charging port cover. If the phone is in the clip case, phone screen facing out, you have to remove it from the clip to open the charging port. Another issue I have is the fact that the cover opens towards the front of the phone thereby stretching the Silicone. My previous Defender case opened towards the back of the phone and didn't have a problem for 2 years. I've had this case for 2 MONTHS and the silicone is already stretched and loose. VERY poor design!!!

Good case, nice protection, and easy to put on....

Otterbox has never done me wrong with their cases. Was deciding between this and the red commuter case. It's pretty durable and not as bulky as they used to be for the defenders

Was very happy with this Phone case. Fits perfect on my Samsung Galaxy S7. And its also a nonslip case no chance on it slipping out of your hands -very easy to put on.

I couldn't imagine buying any other case for my S7. I love the color, the fit, and the protection. If you want your phone fully protected, spend a little more and get an Otterbox Defender Series case.

A bit bulky and heavy, but gets the job done to keep my S7 safe as I am on the rental agreement with Sprint. Only con preventing it from receiving 5 stars if the front plastic covering the screen. I have to constantly clean this daily as it gets lint and dirt causing air pockets inside.

Purchased this for the wive's phone... She's broken multiple screens via drops or sitting things on the phone without realizing it's there. This case has finally broken her string of broken screens! while it's a little bulky which initially put her off, she's now used to it and loves it.

I bought this product in hopes that it would offer great protection for my phone and also allow me to continue using my wireless charging pad. It does both!!! I have dropped my phone many times and it has not broken or been damaged and I am still able to use my wireless charging pad.

Easy to install, the Otter provides a snug fit on the phone with access to all controls and ports. The rubberized covering is durable and provides a secure grip on the phone.

I would not be without this case on my phone. I left my phone on the roof of my car and drove away. It hit the street, but although the Otter Box was a little scratched, the phone was fine. Really good for kids as well since it adds some weight to the phone as well as protection.

This is my third OtterBox Defender and it's a durable as ever. I work outside and really beat my phone around and I have never had a phone damaged from a fall or a drop with ant of my cases. I had them with my last three phones and I had my last phone for three and a half years.

My wife and I have always been a fan of the Otterbox cases for our phones. We have purchased one each time we get a new phone. We purchased this one for my father when he got his new phone. It has a great feel and it protects the phone as it should. Will purchase again.

I know that OtterBox cases are reliable and keep your phone safe, so I had no doubts that this would deliver. However, my only problem less with the covers for the ports on the bottom. When you lift them up to charge, the bottom lining of the case can get a little bent out of shape after lifting the covers many times. Aside from that, I'm so happy I picked this up for less than $25!

I love the OtterBox Defender Series and actually enjoy the "bulkyness" of it. It makes the phone feel safer in my hands, plus I have a 3 year old who likes to drop it occasionally. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that the lack of curve on the built in screen protector makes hitting the edges of the screen difficult when typing and texting. P's especially!

I have this case because I work in a lumberyard and I needed the extra protection. I took off the screen protector and put on a Zagg (see other review) I use the belt clip and I don't have any problems with it coming unhooked or the phone falling off.
