I don't know if it will still protect the screen without that or if the screen protector will protect the phone without the otterbox.

We apologize about any miscommunication surrounding our decision to forego the built-in screen protector on all new Defender cases for any phone with the curved infinity display! We have to admit, we're slightly perplexed, as the item that you're reviewing is the Galaxy S7 Defender, which should still offer integrated screen protection. If you have a Defender case for the Galaxy S7 and it does not have a screen protector, something may be amiss!
