Typically, the inner shell of the case latches securely around the device, and the rubber slipcover neatly stretches over everything. A bit Disappointing Otterbox Case

I was super excited about getting my Galaxy S8+ and I wanted to make sure I protect my new phone with a new Defender Case. When I got it through the mail I notices that it said a screen less edition, at first I thought maybe I ordered the wrong version of the case but it seems like otter box was not able to make a case in time the phone's release to have the full protection including the screen. I am most likely going to be returning the case and looking for a different version or waiting for the actual real defender case with the screen protector to be released.

Quite the contrary, as a matter of fact, as we have worked tirelessly to offer what we consider to be the very best protective and performance-based solution for this particular device given its uniquely curved touchscreen.
If a direct interaction with the screen of your S8+ is a bit out of your comfort zone, we do carry a tempered glass screen protector called the Alpha Glass that is designed to be a perfect companion piece to your current case.

Our apologies regarding the initial product description of the OtterBox Defender for the Galaxy S8+ having incorrectly stated that the case came with the built-in screen protector that was present in all previous versions of this series.
We have updated this particular Defender with a new screenless design in order to allow the best possible interaction with the uniquely curved touchscreen of the device while still providing that trusted Otter protection, and for those interested in a bit more protection up front, so to speak, we do carry the OtterBox Alpha Glass as a companion piece.

Only gave it 3 stars because I had to buy a screen protector along with the case. I never really had problems with other Otterbox Defender series with my previous phones.

Case is decent, belt clip is wanting

I have dropped the phone a few times and it has remained in tact. You may ask why have you dropped the phone so much, well keep reading. The belt clip that comes with this case is horrible. When you think you are clicked in and set to go you aren't, causing the phone to fall onto the ground or floor. It is a good thing the case itself is made well, otherwise the belt clip would cause you to lose your precious phone. I am currently looking for another case as this design with the belt clip is horrible at best. I have never had a phone drop this much in the short 10 days I have had the phone as I have with this one. In fact I can say I have gone a full year without dropping it as much as I have in the last 10 days with this poorly designed belt clip. I am currently looking at seido which actually clicks when you holster your phone into the clip.

Cracked Front Screen

Boy I was wrong... it took me about a month and I dropped it out of my pocket after getting out of my car. Boom screen cracked... I'm upset and this sucks... it's a great case, but I would be the one to crack the screen...
