The sides come out to protect the screen since there is no screen protector on it. I would recommend this product to customers.

Only thing with the defender case and the galaxy s8 plus is they no longer have the built in screen protector due to having an all glass front. The color of this case is by far the best looking one In my opinion

Won't protect Screen Though
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always put the Defenders on within seconds of buying a new phone. They work great for dropping phones. Be careful with the S8+ though .. the Otterbox cases no longer protect screen. Ask me how I know.
