I've since switched away from iPhone and gave OtterBox another shot, and I'm glad I did! Sleek, durable, and back to true OtterBox form! Even better, it works perfectly with my GPEL glass screen protector! Well done, OtterBox! You've earned back a customer!

Too bulky
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well ottorboxes are bulky but this one has a serious design flaw which it doesnt come with screen protector. Otterbox says its because of screen design but they do sell a tempered screen protector for extra. I felt it was a easy way to grab money as its already very expensive case. Also port covers are wrongly designed. they dont open towards back they open towards screen so every time you plug a cable in and out you need to press the outer silicone shell again. Also I do think instead of silicone outer layer it needs to have a plastic back etc for dampening the fall. With my test I thought that it fits but also transfers any push directly on to fragile glass back and front of s8+. So not entirely otterboxes fault but not the best design and not comfortable to hold in hand (it has rough edges instead of curved ones) 2 stars because it does come with belt holder. Some might like that.

OtterBox Defender not so wonderful

You gotta pick that up separately, it used to come with. Used to be the top of the Otterbox was a thick second screen basically. Not now. Will go with a Life Proof protector when it comes out. For now, all you have is Otterbox.

If you are going to spend a good amount of money on a phone then you should protect your investment. This case is definitely up to my standards when it comes to drop protection. It has multiple layers of protection to increase its durability & I feel better with this case on my phone.
