It makes me wonder how it is really going to "defend" my phone from drops, etc. I realize that the glass is supposed to be so much stronger now on the Samsung Galaxy S8 but I still would like to have the screen protector. Not only does the case not provide screen protection but most screen protectors don't work with the defender case!

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so disheartened by the screenless design for the Galaxy S8 Defender series! We sincerely feel that placing an integrated screen protector over the infinity display could result in hindrance around the curved edges of the phone screen, and we did not want to diminish the overall experience for the customer. While there are probably a few third-party screen protectors that will fit with this case, we are unable to test for compatibility with other companies' products, so we can only 100% guarantee that our Alpha Glass screen protector will work seamlessly with the Defender series.
