This is my 3rd otter box case. I am however a little disappointed in this one because when you have it clipped on your side and go to remove the phone it doesn't have the little lip around the bottom to keep the phone from falling as you pull it out. But it is still a good case, just miss that feature.

Great case. Survived a 3000 lb Jack on top of it. The only problem I have with it is the reason there was a 3k lb Jack on top of it is because the belt clip doesn't hold it for s**t. I would invest in a leather pouch or something else to hold it to your belt if you work in a warehouse or construction.

I've purchased outterbox for several years and recently they've change the layout on the defender. The purpose of the defender was the build in screen. The screen is no longer and the price is still the same. I had to purchase the glass screen for additional $40.00. However, they were able to price match. So imagine paying the full price for the otterbox $59.99+ 40 for a screen protector. The only reason I purchased it is because my husband is an mechanic and the hard surface can become a nightmare. Do not recommend... purchased for the Samsung S8+

These are the only brand cases I will buy for any of my phones. I have only had positive experiences with these cases. This is actually a replacement for one that was run over by a truck and yes the phone survived without a scratch

This is my second Defender for my phone. My first was for the Galaxy 5 and this one for my Galaxy 8+. I've dropped my Galaxy 5 phone from a ladder 6 ft off the ground and it convinced me it was worth the purchase price to protect it.

I generally use either a leather holster, or the 2 piece belt clip and protective case. I got a different 2 piece, and I broke 3 belt clips; the first one within one week of purchase. The Otter Box is holding up very well.

Wasn't sure that I would like the design changes but to my surprise I love everything about the new design for the otterbox. This unique little case is very lightweight which is one of the issues that I had with the older models.

This is about the 7th Otter Box I've had over the years but it is somewhat different than the rest ! Due to the construction of my phone, a Samsung G 8 + it cannot have a front cover . Do not know if this will be a problem or not ?

I've owned lots of smartphones in my day and this one doesnt 'disappoint. Great display, love the 64 gig internal memory, plus the ability to add an SD card makes my music apps and movie apps great to download for offline playback.

This case really gives the phone a lot of protection from damage. The rubberized material provides cushioning against accidental drops. The only draw back is that there is no kick-stand to hold the phone up when on speaker.

Me and my friend have the same phone but it is impossible to talk to each other if either one is on speaker. It sounds like your in a hole. Plus screen protectors don't stay on the edge screen. But overall, no regrets on this purchase.

A must have if you value your phone. I'm in the construction field I dropped my phone 3 stories and knew it was broke. When I retrieved my phone to my surprise was in perfect working condition. The only case I will use PERIOD.

No life time warranty which sucks I feel they have made it cheap

I can't rate it's effectiveness since I haven't dropped my phone yet, but the case seems very sturdy and well designed. If you haven't used this type of case before, there are more complete instructions available online.

Me and my husband both are very happy with our new Samsung Galaxy S8+ and both cases we purchased at Best Buy! I did not go with a full cover case because I loved the way the back piece was but I will be buying a full case soon.

I have bought a defender case for my last few devices and have always had a layer over the front of my device as extra protection- this is the first that doesn't have a screen protector! I have to buy one separately. More$$

I bought this case for my daughter's phone. It is an absolute must have ifyour kids drop their phone a lot. I would definitely recommend buying this case for every phone that your younger kids have access to.

The Samsung 8+ is a very nice phone. It is very easy to use and the bigger screen is very nice. The ability to customize it to make it "YOUR" phone is a nice thing too. My wife has the Samsung 8 and she likes it a lot too.

the item does what it is intended to do but be sure to keep your phone away from your toddler - one bad throw from my son caused the corner of my phone to crack even though the otter box was unharmed. Maybe its just my luck but overall the item did great.

Have not dropped my phone by accident yet, so cannot state if it will work or not. Bought it because original flip cover from Samsung was worthless, phone dropped, broken glass, very costly repair.
