If you have young children, this is a case you want to have. Whether you're juggling groceries, carrying your kiddo on your shoulders, or anything else, your phone will meet cement, wood, or other shatter friendly surfaces. The previous Defender models had an annoying piece towards the top and bottom of the screen, and a horrible built in screen protector. This edition is trimmed down with the same level of protection. The rubber flap for the charging port is annoying. Overall a great case and not a bad sticker price. The Apple leather case is the same price with virtually zero drop protection.

This case is a tank. It does what it was meant to do and that is protect your phone from virtually any accident. It is quite bulky and hides the beautiful craftsmanship of the phone. Its definitely worth it if you are accident prone.

I first purchased the Apple leather cover & glass screen protector , Though I liked how the phone fit my pocket better the camera on back didn’t seem protected! I returned for this purple otterbox defender, yes, it’s more bulky , still fits my pocket though and I feel I don’t have to worry about breaking this expensive phone!! I still purchased Apple Care. I had otterbox defender on my edge 7 , which I dropped quite a bit, back and front. My edge looks brand new!! This is the only case I will use. I highly recommend if you want the best protection !!

I love this case! It’s double layered with protection. first it has a hard shell cover that hold firmly and sturdy. The second layer is the silicon cover to protect the hard shell. I’ve dropped my phone about 5-7times at all angles, flat front screen, corners and back side and not a single crack or dent was on my phone or case. I highly recommend this otter defender case. Worth the money

This case is good protection for the IPhone X fits great. The Real Tree Camo comes off to easy, if it Rubs on something it will Rub right off. It’s like they forgot to put a final coat of protection on it. I have had the case for less than a month.

I have had the case for a day and as much as I want to like this case I’ve noticed one big flaw. The inner plastic pieces bends and flexes so it worries me it will scratch the phone. Being that the phone is relatively expensive I do want to protect it from any damage. It is thinner than previous models, I will give it that and I do like how there is no built in screen protector to allow better use of the screen. But with that I just don’t think I can trust the plastic on the case.
