Otterbox has always been great for their cases. I started with a thinner more simple case for my Pixel XL but just didn't feel safe. I was hesitant on the more bulky defender but decided to go ahead with it. It is slightly bulky but not as bad as the older ones. And it is worth a little bulkiness for the protection.
