Clips break on holder after prolonged use wing up with a clip that doesn’t work seek out alternatives

Not happy with my case(Otter Box) I will like to get the Otter Box that shows the iPhone logo at the back

I went back and forth between the symmetry, the defender and the defender pro. Best Buy had the Defender Pro for $10 less then OtterBox site!!! I have had the plain Defender on my last three iPhones. I liked the look of the back of the Defender Pro case. It actually has grooves on the back of the case. It is a nice look. I was happy with the feel of the case. Didn’t feel like it was going to slip out of my hand! I chose the purple nebula. It is a stunning shade of purple in that is is not a gaudy purple but an understated purple and it goes so well with the lavender insert on the case. Even my husband complimented me on the colors of the case.......a first! It comes with the holster. I took a good look at my old Defender case and noticed all the corners were smooth from the many drops it survived. That was what made me choose the Defender Pro over the symmetry. The iPhone xs Max with the most storage is expensive! This case is a good one to protect my investment. The size of the case is also nice to keep a grip on the phone! Before I bought this case I wondered also about how much of the phone would show through the camera cutout. I decided to buy a gold phone and take my chances. It turns out that just a fine line .....maybe 2mm........of gold shines thru the camera cutout. It looks really sharp with the purple. I would buy this again in a minute......and from Best Buy! Came in 2 days with free shipping to boot!

Extremely bulky to me I would like something a lot slimmer

It has a tendency to fall off my belt, which made me feel uncomfortable.

To bulky I didn’t like it too big to carry and didn’t have more colors

The back of the case rubber peels and starts to look tacky

Not happy that OtterBox doesn’t just sell the attachment clip for the back of the main case. The clip is weak and has broken serval times. When that happens I have no other recourse than to buy the entire OtterBox Defender which is very expensive

This case is very durable and I feel that my phone is very protected in this case. The design of this case is nice and the overall quality of this case is excellent. I also have a Zagg screen protector (glass) on my phone and both products fit the phone well.

Too big and bulky! Waste of money. Sorry I purchased it!

I have had this Otterbox Defender for 4 years. I am never concerned about damaging my phone if I accidentally drop it, but the other day was a little more than dropping it - I ran from a store to my car in heavy rain and drove off. Just leaving the large parking lot, the car's Bluetooth alerted me that my that my phone was not connected, It was not in the holster. I circled back to the parking spot within about three minutes to see a car already in that spot, with my phone face down behind it and storm water actually flowing over it i.e. fully submerged. Drying it off in panic mode, when I then removed the Otterbox, the phone was completely dry except for only two drops of water on the front of the phone that may have may have got there as I was removing the case. The car had run over it as well. The hard case and front glass of the Otterbox had a few inconsequential scratches but the phone itself was in pristine condition. I do, however, wish that the holster would hold the phone more securely and have had to replace the holster several times.

First, let me say that I am extremely picky when it comes to cases. I read reviews and I look around a lot prior to purchase. I weigh my options. So when I found the Otterbox Defender Pro for the iPhone XS Max in Dark Lake (Navy) I was impressed. It looked great and offered great protection. Here's what I like: the grip is amazing. It feels great in the hand. It won't slip out of your hand easily. My phone feels protected. That much I like. Here's what I don't like: The Dark Lake (Navy Blue) color is nice, however when mine arrived, it looked worn and used. The edges looked as though they had been dropped. The blue was already wearing. I thought perhaps I had somehow received a case someone returned. (These things do happen, I'm sure.) So, Best Buy sent me another one in the same color and I returned the first one. Unfortunately, the second case wasn't much better. For some reason the edges of this blue just seem to wear quickly. I've only had my second one a week but it already is looking worn. At this price point, this is very disappointing. I think the black would hold up much better; and in retrospect, I should have chosen the black. So, if you do purchase this case, I recommend trying the black to avoid the wear which is so noticeable on the Dark Lake (Navy Blue.) In summary, for grip and protection, it's a great case. In terms of aesthetics, go for the Black.

This case is down right perfect, Otterbox knocked it out the park with this one, it adds a little bulk but I got big hands so it’s no problem, really didn’t make it that much wider just a tad thicker than others I seen but for the protection for my 1500 dollar phone its worth every penny. I have no issues with my glass shield but it’s not that one that has the curve on the edges, that one would probably have issues. But not mine.

OtterBox has the best products on the market! Just as important their World Class Customer Service is the Best of the Best I have ever spoken to!! Other company’s would do themselves a favor and take lessons from OtterBox with their customer service and products.

We are big Apple family and our policy is all iPhones and iPads go into OtterBox before using. We have never had an issue and at trade in we always get maximum value especially when they see you peel an OtterBox off it.

This case provides the best protection for your investment, your phone.
