I've already dropped it several times and there's been no damage to the phone. The case dose not allow for proximity charging though and prevents magnetic mounting . But overall I'm very happy with the case. The holster for the case is a totally different story though. My first holster broke after about a year and I needed another. no holster was available without buying a new case with it. Therefore a 3 star rating.

We're sorry to hear about your frustrations with your Defender Series case! While that case is compatible with wireless charging, you may see some variance between the performances of different chargers, so a different charger may work better for you. Additionally, we suggest always charging in the flat orientation on non-OtterBox Qi chargers, as that will ensure a proper alignment of the coils.
As for the holster, we're bummed to hear that it's been giving you some issues. Did you know we have a stellar warranty? If you give us a call at 1-855-688-7269, we'd be more than happy to get your damaged holster replaced!

Yes its bulky, and yes you need to add a great screen cover........but when you drop the phone you will be very happy you have the bulk---and a still perfectly working phone!

I have never had any phone damage even after dropping them once in a while. When I've had issues with the cover itself, OtterBox ALWAYS sent me replacement part, no questions asked! Great company and great cover!!!

But I’ve always used the defender series only they are amazing cases very durable and I’m in construction so they take a beating I had a 6s that looks brand new when I traded it in for the xs max.
