However, this one has been made even better with a much slimmer design than expected. It's no thicker than many other cases claiming to be more compact than a Defender. Well done, Otterbox.

With this you may not need any extended insurance on your device. I have used it for about 4 to 5yrs any my screens are always looking good irrespective of the duration I have been using the device. After extensive design testing, our engineers determined that the best way to interact with the advanced display of your device was without the addition of a built-in screen protector. That being said, our tests have shown that this case still provides the same quality of drop protection as its predecessors did.
As for the "bulk" of that case, it is certainly one of our more robust styles, as it's our most rugged case option for that device. If you're looking for something a bit sleeker, we'd suggest taking a look at the Commuter Series case. That case still provides the same port protection that the Defender Series offers all in a pocket-friendly design. Sure it's only been a little over a week with this new one but I am confident it will last the same.

I really like the case, but could be better....

My only real complaint is the fact that I just tried the Wireless Powershare for my Note 10+ and it does not work with the case. Not a deal breaker because chances are I will rarely ever use it, but kind of a bummer.

Exposed screen!

But recommend if you are prone the drops and punctures to get a complete case covering the entire case.
