Top quality build to protect your iPad from fall damage. Thick rubber on the surrounding with extra hard plastic help absorb all the shock from dropping. The extra thickness also add extra weight to you iPad however.

The new iPad Pro 12.9 a beast and otterbox definitely made this case to protect but maintain clean lines and not add bulky layers upon layers. The case didn’t come with built in screen protector although the product image seemed to show one. Nevertheless I was not going to see it, as I had put a zagg tempered glass screen on the iPad before putting on the otterbox case The screen and case were flush and the fit was perfect. The price is definitely on the higher side but then again so is the iPad itself.

This is literally the best case for my IPAD. It has a protective case and a stand to view up right and a holder for my Apple Pen. I can remove the cover and use it a the stand or to protect the screen while I carry my iPad around. Great product. I throughly recommend this for your iPad.

Such a great sturdy case. My kids tend to drop my ipad and with this case I don’t have to worry about it breaking or worry about any other damages. It is a bit pricey but worth the extra protection.

Overall great product! A little more expensive than most cases. But I have the Apple keyboard that goes with the iPad, so being able to carry the tablet around while I’m working or on the go it’s definitely worth it for the protection. Price sucks but it’s worth the money.

This is the second one I have bought. I had to replace the first one after five years because the stand broke. I use it regularly and have no complaints with it. The price came down significantly. Would definitely recommend for the portal coverage.
I would recommend this to a friend

I was looking for a strong and durable iPad cover that could be transported in a bag with large tripod and other small accessories. So far I have used this case at least ten times transporting it to different locations and is functioning as needed. I added a few accessories to make it more functional for my specific purposes (video recording events and digital drawing). The front cover pops off with ease when necessary to mount on a tripod with an adapter accessory for video recording. I attached a stretchy cloth Apple Pencil to the cover as well, which was worth the extra $15 bucks to make sure both my iPad and pencil were secure and protected at all times. The back cover feels sturdy when using it for drawing. When putting on the otter box for the first time it’s a three-layer process, so be sure to look up instructions if you haven’t put an otter box on a device before or forgot how.

This case is awesome for certain people. I for one use my iPad for business so the hard case is extremely useful for bringing around and taking care of it. The regular case is not to intrusive and works great have dropped a few times and nothing happened.

“IF” there was protection for screen on this case, I’d declare this case as “PERFECT”! In the grand scheme of things, protecting the screen is highly important to ME! (Everyone one has different needs and demands. I really don’t care what other users need. My needs are different). Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by the protection of previous products, but at a minimum; spending $1200.00 on a device, you’d expect Otterbox to deliver a bit more…

Case fits much better than the older ones and has a much better design for charging the Apple Pencil. (Old one was a rubber flap that was very clumsy and didn't fit well) Does not have a screen protector though so plan to spend another $30 to $50 on that.

This is the second one we bought for my husbands iPad and it’s perfect, wish it had a built in screen protector but that’s ok. I trust Otterbox to keep devices safe!

The defender series is a great case. It covers the iPad all the way around. It is a bit bulky but you know it’s protected. It is expensive, so try and get it on sale.

Great product reputation. The products were limited in design choices so we ended up with black. The main case is sleek and has a silicon rubber feel. The cover that goes over the screen is plain, slippery, plastic - great to protect the iPad from being crushed inside a bag. When this front cover is on the back, as when the iPad is being used, it has four small rubber feet but the main slip proof rubber is covered up (along with the camera). Designers - please note: We would prefer the silicon to be everywhere on the case and to have slightly larger shockproof corners. It doesn’t need to look like a child’s toy, but, adults can be accident prone, too!
