The case is easy to install and provides a stable platform to work from. The only drawback is the side the opens for the pencil is pretty flimsy and will break if not opened and closed gently

I can let your mom sit on this and it might survive. 10/10

I like this. I wanted something that would protect for a drop. I don't love the "stand" that comes with it, but I found a great raised stand that the ipad fits in with the OtterBox case on it! So, it works perfect for me.

While the otterbox defender provides great protection but it is heavy and the cover/stand take up much to much space as a stand and is difficult to remove.

Best defense against daily wear. It is a bit cumbersome due to its size but well worth the extra spend to have peace of mind. I love this product.

You can always trust an otterbox to protect your product. I’ve been using otterbox for all my apple products for many years with no disappointment, and this case was no different!

It’s a really strong case for when ever your kids drop there table this will help them by not breaking the table. I really like this brand otter box it’s just one of my fave brands.

Love it! Yes...it will add some weight to your iPad, but it feels solid. Had to google how to put it on since the directions weren't too detailed, but I figured it out and love it!

This has been the best purchase, especially when you have a kid that uses your tablet. Best Brand ever.

Other reviewers are right... the quality of the product has slipped a bit since the last time (2015) that I needed to buy an OtterBox Defender. With my product, I need to repeatedly reattach the rubberized backing to the hard plastic edging. Manually having to reattach the pieces is a bit annoying... but I'm ok with being a little annoyed if it saves my iPad from another one of my clumsy episodes when knock my device off a chair arm or table top...

Otterbox is as always, the absolute best protection for my device. Used them forever and always been very happy with how well they work.

The otterbox defender is the best case to protect the ipad but I couldn’t use the multi-port adapter with the case on. If you want to use a usb external drive this case will not work.

I love otter box products simply for the protection that it provides for your device I wish it had more colors though.

Love the protection that it brings. However, I do wish there was more rubber for grip on the case cover as it is EXTREMELY slippery

Excellent choice for protecting an iPad. Very satisfied with this product. Caveat: somewhat difficult to install. Take all parts of the cover apart and install the iPad in the lowest part, then reassemble. It should go into the box easily. If not easily installed, then you should look for another layer to disassemble. The instructions are very vague and less than helpful.

If you want a protective case then this should be on your short list. Every Apple device I have ever had is wrapped in OtterBox as I do occasionally drop them and have never had one break.

We've dropped our ipad from 24 feet and it survived without a scratch, dent, or ding! This case is worth it!

It is very durable so I feel my iPad is in great hands wherever I take it! It’s a bit bulky but I’d rather it be bulky than my worrying about it being damaged.

Good protection, good feel, and the cover comes in handy for watching shows/movies and extra protection during transportation. The only things I would change is the side tab that locks the gasket in place is a tiny bit flimsy and opens unintentionally.

This is a great case . It is a hard case and well build to keep your IPad safe . It Sets on your lap at a great height and it protects your front and back very well. There is a place for the pen to so you willn’t lose it ether.
