They have ALL come with a full frame inner casing (including a screen protector). This case does NOT include a screen protector. This is not clear when looking at the product details either. The case is very large and bulky (similar to past Otterbox Defender cases I've purchased in the past). I will probably try to find a case that has a smaller frame since this does not have the built-in screen protector anyway.

After exhaustive design testing, our engineers determined that the best way to interact with the advanced screen of your display was without the addition of a built-in screen protector. That being said, our tests have shown that this case provides the same level of drop protection as past Defender Series cases. That being said, that case is totally compatible with Amplify and Alpha Glass if you're looking to add an extra level of protection to your device. Don’t use with Apple wireless chargers

It doesn’t work. I have to take the rubber off the case constantly and try and see if it will connect. Sometimes when I take the rubber off and it charging go to bed and find that the phone died and didn’t charge at all. Have to convert back to a plug passed cause now all my Apple products aren’t charging together.

Not enough protection for screen. Older versions had a bit of bezel to protect screen from drops. This iPhone 12 case is basically flat.

Although the more recent Defender Series Cases will have a lower overall profile than some of the earlier ones, we do still design them so they have enough clearance that if you set your Apple/Otter combo facedown the display won't make contact with a flat surface.
If you'd be at all interested in adding another layer to the mix, we do have a number of different screen protectors that could be of value in the event of a direct hit. Feel free to take a closer look at our Amplify Glass right here on Best Buy as one example!
