Never risk keeping your phone in a weak case or no case at all! Defenders are warrantied for life by Otterbox. Claims are easy and I have only had to do it once in the past 10 years and that was only because my dog chewed the charging port flap off. After 3 years of use, I pull the phone out to trade it in and the phone looks brand new still.

Sturdy protection but could have better features

Cons are (1) no sliding cover for the camera lens window (competitors have it), (2) same flimsy belt clip as on previous models (I broke two of these on my previous OtterBox phone case, (3) no bright colors available to make it stand out on a table, so it is easy to walk past the dark case and leave the house or office without your phone. All salespeople said this is the best brand, so that should be the deciding factor for its purchase.

I purchased planning on using with case while it doesn't interfere with my personal case it may with yours so be sure to double check. Setup was simple enough just take your time as you just place directly over without any guiding template.
