However the covering to protect the screen makes it hard to "touchscreen" the phone. Sometimes I have to press 2-3 times for the key to register. This also applies to the side buttons. The last Otter Box I had for my last iPhone didn't have that trouble. Don't know for sure if it's the Otter or the iPhone SE. I want the protection but I also would like it to work more cooperatively, as the last one did.

Maximum protection

While I am sure it is solid and will protect the phone if dropped, I have not tried it to see. A little pricier than other options is why I give it only 3 stars.

I bought a brand new Iphone 8 for an AT&T existing service. "MATT" casually mentioned if I wanted to add a line, I could get another Iphone 8 FREE. As long as it was on my same account, it didn't matter who got the phone. One of my grandchildren is getting it for Christmas!

OtterBox Defender Protects!

I purchased a new one because I bought the new SE and there was a difference in phone size. This case does it all! It has a screen protector and a durable case that will protect my phone from most of the daily wear and tear I put my phone through. The screen protector allows natural sensory contact with the screen and, since it was included with the case, saved the extra money and hassle of buying and applying a separate one. I’m a senior and usually carry the phone with me in a pants pocket so it’s always handy. The larger size is awkward, but still doable. In closing, I feel this case is properly named, “The Defender.”
