Reason is I tend to drop or bump my phone quite a bit. Very protective. Not the best looking but if you don’t want to buy a new phone, this is the way to go.

It’s thick enough around the lenses to protect them on flat surfaces. I had the same cover on an iPhone 8 and it helped bring a hefty trade in value.

This defender case provides all around protection from bumps, drops and whatever you throw at it. The only downside is there is no glass protection so get a screen protector.
