So far so good. Although the rubber flaps that cover the charging port & the switch to silence the phone are a little difficult to move out of the way.

Thus Defender is different than what I expected. I like the rubbery feel of previous versions. I had an iPhone 8 for 7 years without issues. I don’t know if I’ll have the same experience with this case protection.
