It does protect pretty well… until you throw the device hard, one thing I dislike was the MagSafe on the back, it became something I constantly felt when no MagSafe accessories were on the back, it was raised and felt uncomfortable.

I’ve bought several phone cases over the years, the OtterBox stands out. The build quality is superior—solid without feeling overly heavy. The textured sides make it easier to hold, and it slides in and out of pockets without snagging. My husband works in construction and he has never had damage to his phones. Otter Box is all I buy for him.

Super protective, pretty sleek, was worried about it being all rubber with it getting stuck in my jean pocket but I haven’t had any issues. Definitely recommend the defender if you work outdoors a lot. Only down side is that it does make your phone 10x hotter if you leave it somewhere hot

Best product ever!! Hands down I have no complaints. I bought this lovely case in march of 2026. I’ve had this case for 4 months & it’s still in its best condition! I even dropped my phone a few times no scratches, scrapes or breaks!! The material is nice, thick & reliable!

Great and very well built case really provides protection for your phone

I always have use Otterbox defender on my Apple products, and I love it! I feel secure with this because is really protecting my phone and tablet. It might be a little bulky and heavy but is worth it.

Otterbox is always a great case. I bought a new iPhone and I need good quality case that is protected if I drop it. This one does not disappoint I would recommend.

This is my favorite case for an iphone! I drop my phone a lot, and feel very safe and protected with this case. It has a nice texture to prevent slipping. I always get the holster, for free by the way from the website.

This case has a very healthy feel -- it just feels strong and seems to be what you would expect for a quality case. I know that the flap on the bottom for the power cord is made the way it is on purpose, but it can be almost too tight when you are getting ready for bed and don't necessarily want to pry something open. I am sure that it will "relax" some after continued usage. Minor problem for such major protection.

Love this case! It’s got grip with the sides and back so it’s not sliding around. It’s very protective. I have used Otterbox for many years and they always come through.

The otter box fits snug and works well. I need protection because I drop my phone some and no damage has occurred. I reconnect product.

Fantastic case for the 17 pro max!!!! The case is in 3 pieces: 2 pieces are to snap around the phone like a frame, and the the third piece is the actual cover that has a slight rim around the camera lenses for additional protection! This is the case for you if you fear dropping your phone, and it has swing out little plugs for every port. We use nothing but the highest quality otterbox covers! Never a break or damage, no over heating either!!! There is a belt holster that you can send away for (it’s free) and Otterbox sent it out within a week!! Great cover!!!!

Excellent device protection and this case feels sturdy. I hope I am able to refrain from dropping my phone, but, if I do, I believe I have great protection for my device. I wish it covered the lenses a bit more.

Perfect accessory to protect your valuable iPhone. I take a lot of action pictures and movies, which means I drop my phone a lot. Í had the Defender Pro Hard Shell on my last iPhone 12 for 5-years, and recently got the full trade in value from Apple. All functions still working, and no damage to the case or screen. That said, I also have a ZAG Pro Screen Protector, and ZAG Pro iPhone photo lens protector.
