It will protect your phone, the only major flaw is the right side camera button. It will most likely break your screen or screen protector if the phone falls and the point of contact starts from that side. I had dropped my phone a couple of times but when it hit the side of the table, it completely shattered my screen protector. I would keep replacing my screen protector because somehow during work it will start to crack from there. Past Otterboxes never had this problem from my experience.

Having cut off the frame and bumper to accommodate the new camera control was sophomoric at best. I will replace this when I find a vetted product that knows what it was doing.

One thing I absolutely don't like is the case doesn't protect the button on the lower right hand side where you can instantly access the camera. I went to 5 different stores to look for cases and the selection was slim to none - not many choices and/or out of inventory so my hands were tied - I needed a case and went with this one.
