This is hard to review. The case is great-5 stars. However, Best Buy’s handling of it is a 0. I ordered it on Friday and was promised it on the next day. It never arrived. I called on Saturday and was promised that I would still get it on Saturday. Nope. Didn’t get it on Sunday either. I called and was hung up on, put on hold and left, I was refused when I requested to speak to a manager, and finally was told that they reordered and I would get it Monday. Nope. Finally got it on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Door Dash delivered another one. I called and was told that I could keep the second holster at no charge. The next day I got an email stating that I had to either return the second one or pay for it. I called again and they finally sent UPS to my house to pick up the second one. Best Buy and Door Dash both screwed this transaction royally. I was not surprised about Door Dash because they are terrible, but Best Buy is inexcusable.

This fits the 16 pro max very well, but does not come with a screen protector. I did perceive that reading the box and, of course, assumed it did. It should! Had to purchase a separate screen protector to stick on to the glass, hence only 4 stars. Just my opinion.

Otterbox Defender has served many of my phones well. So I bought the Defender again for my new phone. Same great case but the new button is exposed and makes holding the phone awkward.

I have used the defender series case for years on all of my phones. It's grip and drop protection are unmatched. However, the totally exposed edge design due to the camera button cut out is totally unacceptable. This was probably some design committee vote that went wrong. All over the web you see this concern met with the following same old feel-good robotic, boiler plate corporate responses from Otterbox: The new and improved designed cases work seamlessly with Apple's new camera control button on the Apple iPhone 16 line of cases. Our engineering team not only found that the new notch does not diminish the drop protection of the case, we also re-engineered these cases to be Drop+ 7x rated. Please give our Customer Service Team a call, or reach out to us via chat, and we are happy to help with any other questions or concerns you may have. The problem is they CAN'T help with this concern without a redesign of this case. There are numerous other case providers who DO provide appropriate protection for this camera button but Otterbox is apparently leveraging their years long reputation and loyalty without addressing this. Very sad to see because this one is a no-brainer. You can't call your case a "defender" when you have so much exposed raw phone left undefended. It is not only about "drop-protection", but also about edge protection. You do not have to drop this phone at all to incur damage with this case. Your phone can simply bump or slide with nominal contact to do damage. Please do better Otterbox and fix this lazy design.

A very durable case for my phone, followed a YouTube video to ensure I installed the case correctly. The USB-C connector is covered by the rubber piece, that requires flipping the rubber piece to open, but protects the connector from dust.

Great case highly recommend! For the price, you can’t beat the durability of putter box!
