I didn’t want to risk another breakage so I bought the otter box for it. Great investment as I was driving tractor trailer at the time and has a habit of setting the phone on my lap. Getting out of the truck and hearing the phone hit the ground was horrible the first few times it happened. The phone survived 5 yrs. when I got the iPhone 8+ it was logical to get the otter box for it.
