Stand is more adjustable but subject to slipping. Also, more susceptible to sliding off surfaces as there is no rubber backing as on older version.

Battery life was improved and the charge port takes a "C" type plug. I think it is much improved.

I kept this case for just one day after examining the quality of this case. I had difficulty in opening and closing the stand that also had a flimsy feel to it. I felt the stand could easily break under daily use. To me, the rest of the case did not have the sturdiness that my former Otterbox cases had.
