This was the best option available and after about a month it seems to be working out well for him. Only downside is it's a bit bigger and harder to fit in front pants pockets but being able to better grip the phone outweighs this.

I like that while not being “clear” it’s translucent enough that the blue color of my phone is noticeable. I appreciate the way the camera section is protected but the slightly protruding surround. All the buttons are able to function properly.

If you are looking for an otterbox that is slim while being protective and is also compatible with tempered glass screen protectors, this is the one. Significantly smaller overall form factor than a standard otterbox defender but still provides adequate protection.
