It really does protect your phone from a lot and I know for a fact because This is my second case I’ve dropped my phone so much. I was on my friend’s balcony that was three stories up and I accidentally dropped my phone. I was freaking out thinking my phone was over with. I went down stair to grab it and everything was perfectly fine. I will never switch to a different brand of case.

Otterbox Defender Series iPhone Cover

The sides are protected by a rubber perimeter cover, as is the camera lens area. My only regret is that its thickness and width are both too much for use of my car cupholder phone cradle. The cover is so good that I'm hoping to find a larger substitute cradle.
