I have this same case on the same iPad I use for work and that ones just fine. When I replaced my personal iPad, I bought this case since the other worked great, but this one never worked. Inner case clicked together as usual, but the front screen cover/stand attached to the back wouldn’t allow the side charging port to open when it was attached. I had to remove the front screen cover every time I needed to charge the iPad. Sturdy as always, but this time it didn’t work.

Started out great but didn't last

Solid protection

I will say it is not the easiest thing to get put on correctly, the silicone exterior takes some work to get put solidly in place. That being said, once it is in place, it feels like nothing is going to hurt this thing besides maybe a drop from a considerable distance. Screen protector works great and the iPad still easily recognizes my fingerprint. With the included stand attached screen side, the thing pretty much feels bullet proof, plus unattached it leaves many different angles for viewing. So glad I made this purchase.

I purchased an iPad Pro 10.5 with an Apple Pencil and an Otterbox Defender. I have come to find that the screen on the Otterbox Defender will not allow the iPad to recognize the Pencil. After looking at other cases I opted to modify my Otterbox by cutting the screen protector out with an X-acto knife. The screen protector was not the most important part of what the Otterbox offered so removing it to regain the use of my pencil was worth it in my case. I only wish they had realized this potential issue and gave the option to purchase the defender with or without the screen protector.

Great case for this iPad Pro

I purchased this when I purchased my daughter's new iPad Pro for her birthday. The only thing I don't like about these is I have to take off the plastic screen protector so I can add my own. I feel more comfortable with a glass screen protector and I feel the iPad responds better with glass. Just wish there was an option to purchase this case without the plastic screen protector on it.

OtterBox Defender case defective
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a new iPad Pro 11” and OtterBox defender case. I put the case on. Immediately found a problem. Touch screen did not respond. I then Tried an apple pen. No response. I then called OtterBox and reported the issue. I was sent a replacement but to no avail responded the same way. I then removed the clear screen on the OtterBox case and everything worked fine. This is an issue that OtterBox needs to correct. So that the new apple products can work as intended when using the OtterBox products. It all boils down to the clear screen protector that comes on the defender cases. Buyer be ware of this issue.
