Could be SW or HW bug.

Protects well

Seriously engineered flaw

The entire product design is based on an inferior design and materials. There is a "hinge", made from reprocessed plastic that has to hold up the weight of the iPad. It continually snaps and breaks off. Cheap reprocessed plastic and horrible design. Do not buy unless you want frustrating returns and warranty claims. Any thought of design and functionality went out window with this one. Does anyone test their products anymore? Otterbox reply... "it's cheaper to give a replacement then to re-engineer a product to work correctly "... seriously what business has this mentality. Do not buy!!!
