Not quite sure if it will protect the pad from damage if dropped but I have added a screen protector to the glass just in case. I definitely recommend this case!

I like that when you close the cover it outs the iPad to sleep and when you open it bad up the iPad awakens. I would definitely buy again.

They are strong, not light, but I am paying for protection as I work outside a lot. You can take this product to the bank.

I bought for my 10 year old and he loves it it protects the ipad in case it falls the screen would not hit the floor at all and it keeps the ipad from getting scratch in case you drop it.
