Loved this series until it completely turned to a different story line. Story line was great until the writers went way over board. After watching complete Season 1, I decided not to watch Season 2. Not worth your time.

It is a time traveling love story....NOT for children unless you care to explain the birds and bees. Very celtic...kilts, killing and old world living.

I was really excited about this show, but was WAY to slow moving for my taste.

I read and loved the Diana Gabaldon books and you can tell that she has a lot of influence in making the Starz TV series. Just like her books, I had a hard time just watching one episode at a time. Each episode ends with a cliff-hanger and there just is never a dull moment. The actors chosen to play the parts are doing an excellent job of staying true to the characters. Toby Menzies is amazing as both the abandoned 1945 husband and the evil 1743 British officer who takes pleasure in other people's pain. I just finished watching the 8th episode and can't wait for the next series to come out. Anyone interested in historicals, or even time-travel will love this story.

I have loved outlander since I first Read the books years ago. I tried ordering the collectors edition but it's been back-ordered almost from the time it came out. I tried purchasing it twice from best buy to no avail. My sister in law was able to get a copy from another store. I had the chance to watch it and see the contents of the collectors edition. It really is quite nice. The show itself is great. I really would recommend this to anyone who loves the books, if you'really able to get your hands on a copy that is.

My wife and I have loved the Outlander book series and the TV producers have done a great job of bringing the story to life. The costumes, settings, and story line are amazing. Some die-hard fans may be slightly disappointed with a few creative liberties that have been taken but, overall, it's a great addition to your video library. One word of caution: The videos, like the books, contains intimate adult situations and some nudity. Definitely not for younger viewers.

I've read every single book in the Outlander series, so naturally I was thrilled when the TV show was announced. The TV adaptation definitely does justice to the books, which makes sense because the author is involved with the adaptation. A high quality and very entertaining series with gorgeous scenery. Even those who haven't read the book will like it!

This was advertised while looking for something else. After reading info and having both English & Scottish in my blood(mortal enemies I know). It piqued my interest. I love this set. It comes with the extra features.Deleted scenes,music from the show, special postcard pics including a frame, and a flask with a special saying.

This is definitely one of the better produced mini series adaptations. Having read all eight books by the author, the director is following the story fairly closely. It can be graphic at times, but that did not bother me. The story itself is totally entertaining, and the actors are doing a good job.

Once you start episode one you can't stop until the end of the episodes. Each episode is intense, some more intense than others. A few bits of info is a little different than the book but that is to be expected. But whoever is the writer for the show did a great job bringing it together.

Great new series! There is nudity so not appropriate for all viewers. Anxiously awaiting season 2. Order the book series as well because I don't think I will be able to wait for all of the tv seasons.
