Decent historical accuracy, and based on the best selling series, "Outlander" follows the main character as she travels 200 years into the past from modern day England right after V-Day for WW2. The series is fairly soap opera-ish and gets more so as time goes on, but you fall in love with the main characters and end up sticking with it. If you like period dramas, this is for you.

Nice set with digital. Made the wife jump with glee when I picked it up. Seems to be a favorite of hers. She binged it and enjoyed it. I didn't mind it either, so bonus.

I read the book and I wasn't sure I would like the series but decided to try it and my husband and I are really enjoying it. It's not always easy to understand what they are saying due to the Scottish accent but the story and the characters are following the book pretty close and even though I know the outcome, it is really good.

While a bit different from the book, it captures all the feelings and adventure. This is a wonderful start to the series, and I can't wait for the other seasons.

This show is fantastic!! Great scenery, Scottish history, and plenty of intrigue. I haven't read the book but probably will after seeing the first season of Outlander.

So glad that I bought the disc. Fell in love with the series when I watched it on Stars. Now I can watch it anytime I want. Plan on purchasing the books.

I love this series. The only downside is that season one came in two volumes which required the buyer to pay twice and for more total money than a singular volume.

I loved the books and was so thrilled when they decided to make a series of it. So far I think they have a done a pretty good job of it. I can't wait til next season!

I love the Outlander series. I have read all the books more than once and have seen all the episodes. I look forward to being able to see them whenever I want.

This show is an excellent one to dive into - but watch out - you may become addicted to it fast. Jamie and Claire have a fascinating and captivating love story.

Outlander has action, adventure history and several surprises along the way. I would strongly recommend this to anyone that has ever read a historical romance.

I had not heard of the Outlander books, and did not watch the show on the network. But after watching this 1st season, I would recommend it to all adults.

Another volume in this ongoing series of the Scottish with a time traveler from the future and going back and seeing her husband or her husbands relatives.

I admit I'm late to the Outlander game. Was browsing through the TV on DVD section, read the back of the DVD, and decided to purchase. Highly addictive show!

Best way to change up and prepare for the new season is buying the former season DVDs and watching each series. Like the Outlander show.

Having watched the show on Stars many times, it was a no brainer when this set came out. Great show and I will be adding future seasons to my collection.
