We bought this GE Microwave through BestBuy but when it stopped working after less than one month. When using the microwave, it would suddenly stop - no message, no error code, just no power. After about 15 minutes, an Error Code “PF” would appear on the panel. Then we could use it for a few minutes again, until BAM - no power again. We checked our circuit and everything was fine. The microwave just stops, eventually with a PF error. We had a Kitchen Aid microwave previously which lasted for over 25 years. There were more unpleasant surprises in store. 1. GE covers repairs/replacement for the first year - BestBuy does nothing but suggest contacting GE, which we did. The online service request was fast and easy. 2. We received an email confirmation of the appointment date and time, with a note we would get a call from the technician the day before. No call. The day of, NO SHOW by technician. We called several times, texted a message. No response. Called GE and they contacted the technician, who said he never got the notice. Also said he had spoken to someone about this appointment, but not from us. 3. We were connected with the customer escalation team - then disconnected. Then called again, over 30 minute wait time with no option for call back. Still no resolution. And it would not accept photo uploads.

This is my 4th Best Buy appliance purchase with install. It's was the worst install ever. My home doesn't have an external exhaust vent, the exhaust recirculated back into the home. The installers didn't configure the microwave to circulate so the exhaust fan didn't work properly. And they initially installed uneven. It was a 1/2" out of square and I made them fix it. I called and complained about the vent issue and best buy was having install redone. I requested that a different installer come but company scheduled the same. After two weeks of waiting to get this corrected, I installed it and corrected the exhaust issue myself. I don't recommend purchasing best buy install on a microwave. Do it youself
