The installers did a poor job

They left a mess-cabinet shavings all over my stove, the inside of the cabinet and floor. They did not use a washer under the one of the bolts that is meant to secure the microwave to the cabinet so it is danger of falling, When I complained to the installation company they said "it's up there isn't it?"...well who knows how long it will stay up there. They wanted to send another installer but I was skeptical because the first pair did not wear gloves and had their masks down under their chin at times. Best Buy does not refund or give a percentage off for crappy installation and there isn't an email address for customer service to take a complaint further. Very disappointed.

Poor user interface

The touchpad cannot be seen unless direct lighting is applied. It also should have instant selection of 1, 2 or 3 minute settings instead of having to enter the "00".

Not professional installation

The installation technician was an unaccompanied apprentice at best. He did not follow the installation instructions, threw away parts necessary for correct operation, and did not carry equipment necessary to clean up after the installation. The unit was noisy and the installation was incorrect, so Best Buy did set up for a new installation. The same technician was scheduled. All attempts to reschedule through their email and phone contacts were ignored by the installation team. Overall, not a professional experience and not an incentive to use such services from Best Buy.

Very bad 3rd party installers.

Made 3 attempts to replace a microwave that was installed broken initially. The next 2 came with physical damage from the box. Waiting for the 4th attempt from Best Buy. They rush the install of all there products. The microwave that they installed is hung by a single screw. If possible, change your 3rd party vendors.

Installed broken microwave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The installers knew the microwave had damage but installed it anyways... once installed the microwave didn't work... they were supposed to come back in 3 days to replace it.. they never showed up... so here we are with a microwave that is damaged and doesn't even work on our wall... we paid a lot of money for the appliance bundle and we will be going at least 1 week with one of them that doesn't work. So this is what being a total tech member gets you.. thinking about having them come back and return everything.

TERRIBLE INSTALLATOON SERVICE

Customer service did not know what was going on,put me on holed for over an hour, then when a rep finally answered i got hung up on. Had to call several times again. Then they sent me an email that said they were coming to install it on one day, but when i called to cofirm they said they didn't have the appt inthe books. Terrible experience. I would not recommend Best Buy. And, to make things worse after they finally came and installed the microwave, about a week after they sent an email with another installation date - for installing a microwave that was arelady installed. TERRIBLE service.

Not good

Other than the fact that I didn't have to haul out the old appliances and bring in the new ones, his install was terrible. He came in with a partner and barely introduced themselves and almost pushed past me at the door to get to the kitchen and get to work. They tromped snow and slush all through and didn't even ask if they should take their boots off or put on booties like most service people. My wife spent an hour cleaning up after they left. I wanted the microwave to vent outside like my old one and I had to tell him to take the panel off the top of the microwave so it vented outside. He dropped my old microwave while carrying it out and put a large chip in my drywall that needs to be repaired.

Damage During Installation

They drilled the back plate of the microwave in two spots through our water line causing a leak inside and outside the kitchen. We had to spend $790.00 on a plumber to fix it ourselves. Best Buy's claim system is a joke. It is looking like everything goes through the third party installer, and if they don't want to pay for damages you won't get a dime. Buyer beware. We will never have an appliance installed by Best Buy again.

No Microwave Service PROVIDED!!

He said it was my responsibility to unhook the microwave. I said it was NOT my responsibility as I didn’t install it personally and have no knowledge of how to take it down then put it back up. The microwave was purchased on November 16, 2020 at Best Buy in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. The Tech never came to the house to fix the microwave. He stated that I was supposed to do that. Please advise me. I BELIEVE THAT THE WARRANTY is still active.

Late by 75 minutes and most likely installed wrong

When I questioned them about the microwave being as loud as an industrial leaf blower, they said that is just how loud that microwave is. I doubt it. I think it's because they used the previous mounting bracket instead of the one that came with this new microwave. Now I get to pay for a service call even though I purchased the total tech membership from best buy.

Highly Disappointed!!

The installer came alone by himself and seemed to be in a rush. He did not install a new mounting bracket and used the old one. The microwave is not centered with different gaps on either side, so we cannot even purchase two 3" fillers if we wish to!! The screws on the top did not go in straight and are crooked. If BestBuy is unwilling to correct this, I may need to hire another contractor to come and fix this, but it's not fair on us since we paid BestBuy to do the installation!!

Initial install very poor; the re-do was great

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We replaced a 6 year old Whirlpool with a successor Whirlpool model, thinking the install would be simpler. Big mistake. The new Whirlpool was poor quality, and the bracket actually needed to be moved up to accommodate the new unit. Instead, the installer just used the old bracket, which left the oven 1/2 inch off plumb. It was obvious to see, and the door would swing shut. And...he just left in a hurry, before we could even inspect or sign-off. BUT...Best Buy did us totally right. We traded for a Samsung, hauled away the (poor quality) Whirlpool, and this time they sent Kyle, who did the install correctly. Best Buy was very accommodating.
