The microwave was installed incorrectly. Exhaust air blew down the outside edges and up into the cabinet above when I turned on the exhaust fan after the tech. had left. I called and requested a different installer be sent out to correct the problem. I was assured someone different would come, but no, the same guy was sent to my home. When I showed him the problem, he said that this was how new microwaves worked. I said something like, "oh really"? He said "yes", but that he would take it down and check it. Turns out he had not replaced the tape that makes the seal between the exhaust duct and the top of the microwave when he had come out before? Lazy? Incompetent? Didn't care? I don't know, but it seems obvious to me that this is a vital part of the new installation and he missed it the first time? Why didn't he check the exhaust function? Because of COVID, I was in the other room, not micromanaging this installation. The installer was courteous, but I certainly would not recommend him. He wasted my time and his by not installing this over the range microwave correctly the first time.

Two guys came on time and did an excellent job of installation. Only took less than an hour and did an excellent job of removing and installing and clean up.

Since the olde microwave had been removed 11 days before, the installation went fast, though the removal fee of $19.95 has not been credited to my credit card yet.
