    Been working with Best Buy to get a microwave replaced that was installed damaged since March 2021. After six different delivery appointments and no one has shown up and again today no one showed up. They keep claiming that the installation and the delivery/return appointment are scheduled on different days even when every time I schedule it they are on the same day. Tried to call Brook Road and no manager or anyone will even answer the phone even when i was given the extension to actually reach them. I used to love Best Buy but after this experience just for a microwave that was installed damaged in the first place without even a mention from the installer I don’t think I will ever use them again. Lowes will definitely take care of you like they did recently for my new dishwasher. Ordered a special order unit and I still got it delivered and installed with great customer service all within the same month even with Covid delays. Shame on you Best Buy and shame on you especially Brook Road Best Buy for not taking care of your customers.

    Worst Installation Experience with Best Buy

    I don't have the energy or the time to tell you how poorly run your 3rd party installation system is. This process started on Jan 15th when they originally installed a damaged microwave that didn't work. The installer told me the only thing I could do was call the store and ask for a new one and reschedule my installation. I went with for over a month without a working microwave and was given no remedy to my situation. I had to take 5 different days away from work to try and get my over the range microwave installed at my house. In fact they never did install the microwave I had to get an outside party to install the microwave after they finally delivered the microwave to my house but told my wife that they weren't the installation crew just the delivery crew. I've talked to the Bloomington appliance manager (Levi) & store manager (Joe) and have been told that the best they can do for my troubles and inconvenience is $50 credit. I've been a loyal customer of Best Buy and have had multiple appliances installed at my house. I couldn't believe the best Best Buy could do was give me a $50 credit for my month of troubles. Needless to say, I won't be looking for Best Buy to be involved in my future appliance purchases.

    I would have to say our installation challenges began in-store as our salesperson was definitely there to make the sale and not provide additional information needed to prepare for our install. We asked clarifying questions and were told the only modification we would need to do was increase clearance (via shortening cupboards) to have it fit. We prepared for this by hiring a contractor on our own to alter our cabinets. Done. We were ready. When the guy arrived to install he said we had to have an outlet (not hard wired in). This information I found on the Best Buy website AFTER we had to pay the installer an additional $100 directly and I was looking for customer service contact info regarding appliance installation. (Our sales person assured us it could be installed to existing power from previous vent). Had we known it was needed we would have had our cupboard contractor do it (for much less, I'm sure). Then the Best Buy sent installer says we have to pay an additional $50 because he had to drill into tile. Really??? Cause that info isn't found anywhere!?! Finally he had to drill twice because he was 1/8 inch off. All in all, I am thankful this service was available as we could not have done it on our own, however, full disclosure and better (more accurate) communication from Best Buy is needed. And it would be helpful to either receive a hard copy of an installation checklist or have the installer inform of possible additional charges BEFORE day of install.

    Unfortunately this was delivered with a dent and after spending a day with different installers coming for all my appliances that was the least of my worries.

    If I could give it a zero I would! Best Buy sent someone unqualified to install the microwave. They did not tell us there was no vent system ( my house flooded and was torn apart). They sent people out 5 different times until the 5th person charged us another $200 to fix the vent system. We called Best Buy to complain and they said there was nothing they could do. They said a supervisor would call us back but they didn’t . The microwave was also dented when installed and Best Buy wanted yo charge an additional delivery fee to exchange it. I will never purchase anything from them again.

    After owning just under 2 months the light doesn't work. This is one of the main reasons I replaced my old microwave. I replaced bulb as it was broken but light still doesn't work. I am extremely upset since I cannot return to Best Buy. I really have no options and am now stuck with new microwave with light that doesn't work. Very very frustrated.

    FIX YOUR PROBLEMS. DON'T MAKE THEM YOUR CUSTOMER'S. I ordered a stove, dishwasher and microwave from best buy and was excited to receive them between 12-4pm tomorrow (6-6-17). This was confirmed by my in store best buy rep, best buy's website and geek squad. At 7:30pm tonight I received an automated call from "XPO" Best Buy's "third party" shipping company saying that the appliances would be delivered between 4-8pm (not 12-4pm). When I called "XPO" they first told me to call back in 1-2 hours because their "system was down." When I asked for a supervisor, I was told their system was magically up again. I was told that XPO can pick up the appliances from Best Buy between 12-4pm and thus would deliver to my home between 4-8pm. Not only did they lie and were inflexible, but they were very rude. I hung up to call Best Buy directly. Best Buys geek squad confirmed my suspicion that it should be delivered between 12-4pm and passed me to the warehouse for them to correct this issue. After being placed on hold with the warehouse, the warehouse let me know that XPO said they are not changing it, and their supervisor "is out" so there was no solution to my problem after waiting on hold for 45 minutes. This is AWFUL customer service. This issue should be fixed, not passed on to the customer to deal with.... I am shocked and will definitely not be buying another appliance from Best Buy, unless this is fixed.

    The installers were quick but they literally did not care whether they were dirtying up my brand new stainless steel appliances with their hands, and not just fingerprints but actual dirt. I had to literally go over my entire new oven and microwave with stainless steel cleaner.

    Its a really long story and it was resolved by the store manager with compensation for my work and time. Essentially Best Buy and their installers were given 3 chances by us to install, first time they gave reasons for not installing that I resolved, which was fair. They said they would be back on a certain day and they never called or showed. We called and complained, waited weeks for them to come back, different guy this time and he said they couldn't drill through a tile back splash... first guy never said that was a problem. I ended up installing this myself, I paid for convenience, and wound up with doing it myself anyway. The installers are a joke. "Professional Install" is more like we'll professionally come into your house and plug something into a outlet. That's all they do. If it involves real work they'll just make excuses and leave you high and dry.

    Very Bad Experience, Still Waiting For the Refund.

    I ordered the over-the-range microwave and the delivery & installation service on April 10 to replace the old one in my kitchen. When the third-party service company arrived on April 17, they took down the old one, but they left before they could finish installing the new one because they have a truckload stuff to deliver for that day. I was told to call Best Buy and schedule another appointment for installation only. Best Buy told me they would come back to finish installation, but the earliest availability is 5/25 which is more than one month later. I first scheduled it for 5/25, but it is really inconvenient without the working microwave, I had to cancelled the 5/25 appointment and had to hire a contractor to finish the installation asap. Although Best Buy agreed to refund my installation, but the refund couldn't go through, because the third party company marked the installation was completed on 4/17 in their systems. The third party company servicing the metro Atlanta area is a pain to work with.

    Microwave not bad - but interior not stainless for long haul. Issue is Best Buy installers did NOThook up to attic vent as they said they would be certain of even as I stood over them. Moisture pouring out on wood cabinets above likely to damage them over time. So tight to get in, afraid to get them back again as some damage was done to the cabinet under molding on both sides.

    If i could give a zero i could. Total crap. They couldn't install it because of the configuration of my cabinets. No specs on this btw. Called. they ordered a 'site survey' and a theater person called to see what my issue was, haha. Another site survey came over (the same installer that couldn't install it initially), this time he was with a field manager. The field manager promised he'd call tomorrow with a solution. No call. Ultimately, i asked my retired father to help me. He installed it no problem. What a joke Best Buy is. They left me with a hole in the wall and no microwave for months. I did buy a countertop microwave. Took it back once the new microwave was installed. They wouldn't give me cash back... Of course. Total joke.
