Worst Attempt at Installation Wver

Best Buy can’t let incompetent 3rd parties mess up stuff for their clients . Never showed up for the appointment. Then came 2 hours later and dropped off appliance . With no idea of when to install. I have cancelled the install.

The installer hit a wire behind the wall when he put up the bracket and it cost me $380 to hire an electrician to fix the problem since I had no electricity in my kitchen. Dealing with the insurance company is another nightmare. Delay after delay with no support whatsoever from Best Buy! I love the mircowave but I regret buying it from Best Buy. It's been two months since this happened and doubt I'll ever get back the money I spent to fix their screw up.

Terrible service, great prodict

Now Best Buy is charging me for a new set of filters! A bit much after paying over $2600 for the microwave. Asked to talk with a manager but customer service rep said too busy! I would love to hear back from a manager who will make this right.

Extremely poor service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely poor service, I am unable to express how frustrating my experience with the Best Buy consultation and installation team has been, After three missed appointments with the consultant we decided to go ahead with the purchase of the microwave and the installation through Best Buy, what a mistake! Initially when the installation team came out they indicated that they could not do the installation because the existing microwave was hardwired and they needed a dedicated plug, so we hired an electrician and had a dedicated outlet put on the wall and reschedule the installation. When the new installation people came they insisted that they could not do the installation because the ceiling was not strong enough to hold the ceiling mounting bracket, and they created a disruptive situation and our home. Needless to say, the installation of the microwave does not take a ceiling mount, in fact it is mounted from the wall which was fully reinforced. So after six weeks and five scheduled visit we had to hire an electrician and installation crew of our own. This was a farce!

NEVER HAVE APPLIANCES INSTALLED FROM BEST BUY

Also caused cosmetic damage to a brand new unit because he believed taking it apart would fix the issue. When i set up a return/exchange, the installer did not show up, and never informed me that he would not be doing so. Had to cancel plans and prior obligations for my appt and the installer did not show.

Defective product, still awaiting replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My LG over-the-range microwave came with the Extend-A-Vent device, which I specifically shopped for, broken. It was pointed out by the Best Buy installer, to his credit. After seven interactions with seven different Best Buy customer service people spanning a period of almost three weeks, I finally found a customer service person who solved the problem and arranged for a replacement and new delivery/install date. The poor communications and inability of the customer service people to resolve my problem over and over and over again was ridiculous and the poorest example I've ever experienced of a major company unable to solve a simple consumer issue. After making my original purchase in March, having delivery delayed a month because of COVID (no one's fault) and this series of unconscionable failures by Best Buy, I am finally scheduled to receive my replacement in mid-July! I will believe it when I see it.

Poor Installation

We were assured it was only cosmetic. That turned out to be false. The door began to have difficulty opening. Now we have to replace it.

The two man crew had no idea what they were doing. Best Buy stands behind their products, but I cannot recommend their installation services. First the installers did not even attempt to clean up the sawdust, including leaving it in the cabinets an on top of the 220 range outlet (fire hazard?). The crew didn't bring a step ladder, so had to use mine. They did not tape the duct work, which turned out to be good because I had to take down the microwave and properly prepare the venting blower. The crew did not adjust the blower or remove the vent knock outs to properly vent the microwave into the existing duct work. Best Buy said they would credit me for the installation, but I am still waiting for the credit a couple of weeks later. Very unsatisfied with the installation.

Upcharge for Outlet Installation?!?

I'm not sure the install is truly up to code, but the installer performed the work anyway. Then he hit me for a $40 outlet install. Why did I pay $129.99 for a guy to essentially mount a bracket and then pay an additional $40 for power?
