No luck calling the store for an update. I had to drive to the store to learn the status of my delivery. Store had no contact w/ installer! Awaiting call from store about reschedule install!!!

The delivery was AWFUL, the microwave was DROPPED off and left in the middle of my kitchen floor, installation did not happen, had to wait an additional week for the microwave to be installed. I received a text message for DELIVERY and INSTALLATION on the same day and it did not happen...!!!!! The caller was rude and I read the message to her, that stated the microwave would be delivered and installed and they kept changing the time for delivery and installation.

Very Unhappy

The installers seemed to having a problem when they did the installation. One of them unscrewed the top of the microwave took some screws out, adjusted something, put the screws back and said it was working ok now. When we tried to use the microwave there was a strong electrical burning smell. There were strange noises emanating from the microwave. I called and was given a re-install date of a week from now. That is unsatisfactiory. I spoke with an electrician who says he thinks they may have to replace the microwave and possibly the outlet. I am presently trying to get a closer re-installation date.

I had to re-schedule and take a day off work to get it done. The installer spent 1.5 hours installing the microwave but then stripped one of the mounting screws. I called the Best Buy down the street and the person in the appliance section told me they did not have any of the microwaves in stock so i would have to reschedule again. I called the same Best Buy again and asked to talk to a manager who told me they had plenty in stock. I then was then transferred back to the appliance salesman who curtly told me "it must have been hidden, tell the installer to come pick it up" and hung up on me. I then had to wait for the installer to pack up the original microwave that he stripped, go to the local best buy, pick up a new microwave, and then come back and install this one properly. Huge pain.

Posted .Hi cha0t1k – That’s not at all the kind of experience we want one of our clients to have. I apologize for the missed delivery and extended install time. We should have taken care of the logistics of getting a replacement and not had you call. Thank you very much for the feedback. I’m confident the next time you use Geek Squad we will provide you with much better service.

Waiting for my install….

My sales rep has been terrible about following up on the progression of getting the needed bracket. The only time I get any info is if I call him and happen to get the salesman on the phone. I want a huge discount for this delay!!! I haven’t been able to fully utilize my new range since I don’t have the ventilation from my over range microwave!

Delivery (Geek Squad)

Let me first say our sales person and the (2) "warehouse" delivery men who delivered our refrigerator were AWESOME!! The store suggested that the Geek Squad deliver & install my microwave since it is right next store. Literally, a stones throw away. We were told if there was an issue it could be taken care of quickly. It was the worst suggestion every. They couldn't even get it right. The refrigerator came yesterday from the warehouse and has already been delivered & set up. We are still waiting for the microwave. It's at the store but they had an issue with printing a label, so it never got delivered. We now have to wait until next week to get it delivered & another day of waiting around. We had a disappointing experience over a year ago with the Geek Squad but decided to give them a second chance, guess it was the wrong decision.

Microwave Installation

However, driver installed anyway. I was not home at the time of installation, so had to reorder a new microwave and wait for rei-nstallation. Not really satisfied with the process. Usually, happy with Best Buy team.

Install of microwave

We had a lot of issues with scheduling changes !! Between the product and installers cancelling multi times most of the time with only hours notice. As a company Best Buy has horrible logistics between departments the right hand does not know what the left is doing. It took us 8 days from the first scheduled delivery and install date to actually get our appliances. We was living in a new built home with no way to cook ! I emailed several of their upper management people voicing concerns nothing but crickets VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Their point of sale was good but meeting scheduled dates for delivery and installation in our case was unacceptable !!! Do your homework before you open your wallet

Don't get mcrowave installation in Traverse City

Installation scheduled on Jan. 31 not completed. Installation scheduled on Feb 21. cancelled by BestBuy system without notice (by now I've requested a text too). Installation scheduled on February 27 cancelled by technician without notice. 16 phone calls trying to track down what is happening. Technician claims he cannot install a microwave despite the fact that there have been two microwaves installed at this same location over the last 20 years

Poor installation

Not level and did not fit. Door would not open. The team that csme in to removed said it was screwed in using only 1 screw. They left so fast did not even know if it would work.

Problem with GE microwave not resolved by Best Buy

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First we had the GE repairman out to check for poor exhaust functioning on our 8 month old GE over the stove microwave purchased from Best Buy. He acknowledged there was very little suction in the microwave's fume and vapor exhaust system and he recommended we have Best Buy Service out to inspect the microwave to authorize a replacement for the defective unit. When the Best Buy service people came to our home to they said the poor suction of the unit was normal because of the "greater energy efficiency" of modern microwaves. So now we're stuck with a partially defective microwave.

Best Buy Dover Delaware Disaster!

The installers came without the microwave when we were assured by the Dover Delaware Best Buy manager that they would have the microwave with them upon arrival at my house to install it. Now I can't reschedule because someone marked the installation as completed on 7/27/22. THIS IS NOT COMPLETED. I DO NOT HAVE MY MICROWAVE INSTALLED. I have to wait 24-48 hours for the "completed" status to be removed before I can reschedule. This is ridiculous. I think I am taking my business elsewhere for replacement of the remainder of my kitchen appliances.
