    Independent contractor did not keep appt.

    The reason I am giving a 2 has nothing to do with Best Buy, but the independent contractor missed 1 appt., rescheduled 1 appt. without contacting me and still no showed and finally made it on the third appt.

    It took three attempts to get one item installed. First try was a damaged item that wouldn't have been installed if it was good because the in store rep mislead me on what needed to be done. Second try was a no show. Third time it worked out. Who really needs to show up for work anyway.

    I have a tile backsplash, I mentioned this to the associate in store and was told that wouldn't be a problem and that they'll still install it. Installer came out and wouldn't touch it, told me I needed to remove the backsplash... Got myself some tile bits and installed it myself. Save yourself the trouble of expecting to get a microwave installed over the range with a tile backsplash and just do it yourself or find somebody else to install it for you since Best Buy won't do it.

    The first installer dented my new range on the top where the controls are. They couldn't finish the job because my cabinet was too low and I had to remove and replace the cabinet with one of the right size. So installation was rescheduled but then cancelled and rescheduled again because of Hurricane Elsa. The second installers acted like they didn't know what they were doing. They cracked the backsplash into a million pieces. And I had to tell them that the bracket they were installing was not level. I still feel they did not level it properly. Fric and Frack. Mutt and Jeff.

    The installer delivered the microwave but didn’t know how to install it. I had a contractor do the installation with no problem.

    Rating is not of the item itself, but of how the warranty for the item is handled. Purchased the item. It is still in the box since I haven't been able to get the electrician to come by yet. But let me tell you the warranty has already started to count down. So the warranty will run out with the item in the box if you agree to accept delivery. It has also happened with my stove. You will choose to take the delivery when you're told, not sure when we'll be able to deliver again. Just know the warranty will run with the item in the box as soon as you accept delivery

    The installer showed up and wanted to charge me $75 to install because the bolts weren't long enough. He measured wrong and drilled into my wall multiple times at the wrong place. Didnt install and left a mess. Very disappointed

    He was an hour late from to max time allotted, then he had to go to Lowes to get the receptacle, even though he knew the night before that it was needed. He did not ask me where I wanted the receptacle, by placing it at the bottom of the cabinet, I lost 1/2 use of that cabinet, if he had placed it up higher, I could still use the other 1/2 of the cabinet. Once again, poor customer service!

    The installation of this required the need to drill through my cabinets in order to get it in place. I still don't understand why it doesn't fit snugly under the cabinet and why we need a board to cover the hole. The board does not match the cabinets.

    Since i bought it June 6 until today Sept 5 no one come to install it.. they keep send me wrong people when they come they said they’re not installer so they give me another schedule or they’re not showing up like that… until today. No matter how much time you wasted to wait for them to come.. they don’t care.. it has been over a months now still did not get it installed.. I am very mad with them, right now!! thinking how I can return it since it’s out of returning window (14 days)

    The guy did not speak English. I had to talk to someone on the phone. And he would not install, I had to have my son, come over and install the microwave

    Oh my terrible- they insisted on changing the placement of the bracket even though I ordered the same size and brand model replacement. Of course then it didn’t fit and they said they needed to come back with parts. Ridiculous- I just replaced the bracket as original and it fit fine- BB did reimburse but what a waste of time

    Bottom line is that I will NEVER have an installation done by the Sherman Oaks, Ca GEEK squad again. This was my second installation and I've had significant problems each time. I should have learned the first time.

    Your installer drilled a hole in an electric line, it sparked and he didn't think it was a problem. We had to hire an electrician to come in and fix the problem. Your installer put a hole in our 220 main line to the oven and this could have caused a fire. We are waiting for your insurance company to get in touch with us as you need to make us whole for the expense of the electrician. You are lucky our house didn't catch fire.

    Terrible installation experience, for the 3rd time

    Didn't install the microwave correctly and I've had to make 3 additional (30+ minutes each) phone calls to get it resolved. Needing to wait a week for them to come back out to - hopefully - do it correctly. Three of the 4 appliances we purchased were NOT installed correctly and one has been attempted TWICE, and still NOT done correctly. Terrible installation practice done by guys who seem to be paid by the "piece" and don't give a darn about whether they do it well, or correctly, etc.

    contract installers that Best Buy uses are terrible. Instead of measuring, guy drilled two big holes in cabinet, missed the mark first time while 2nd guy held micro in place allowing wood to to fall into holes at top of microwave creating fire hazard, that necessitated replacement 2nd time, they also reused bracket from GE model slightly different,
