Peace of mind in one package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got the Owlet Dream Duo a few weeks after our baby arrived, and wow I didn’t expect to feel this relieved at night. As first-time parents, one of the biggest stresses has been “Is the baby okay? Are they breathing? Are they comfortable?” This monitor has helped big time. First thing: the sock sensor is surprisingly comfortable for our little one. It’s soft, and the Velcro fits well around the foot. I was worried about it bothering her, but she hardly seems to notice it sleeping soundly through it. It tracks heart rate and oxygen levels and sends alerts if anything seems off (base station + app). That alone gives me a lot more peace of mind. The camera is also great: high quality 2K HD (or close) so I can zoom in a bit, see her face, check the room temperature/humidity in the app. Everything’s right there on my phone. Setup was way easier than I expected. We plugged in the base station, connected the sock, mounted the camera (the magnet mount was nice), downloaded the app and we were good to go in under 20 minutes. No crazy tech-skills needed. The app notifies me if she moves more than usual, if something unusual is picked up by the sock base, and also lets me check in live video when I’m away. The peace of mind part is the biggest thing. Before this, I’d wake up multiple times a night to check on her, wondering if everything was okay even though she looked fine. With the Dream Duo, I actually sleep. I know if something is off I’ll get an alert. If everything’s normal, I can rest. That difference is huge. Now, just a few minor notes, sometimes the camera feed lags a little when wifi is weak not every time, but happened when we were streaming from another room. It doesn’t bug me much, but just something to know. And the app’s notification sensitivity takes a bit of tweaking at first we got some little alerts we weren’t sure about, but once we proper set it up the alerts are meaningful. All that said, I’m so glad we invested in this. If you’re expecting or just brought home your baby and you’re scared of "what ifs" at night, this monitor is one of those purchases that feels like you’re buying sleep for you as much as monitoring for baby. Totally worth it in our house.

These guys are the leader for a reason
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is really wonderful if you have anxiety as a new parent or if you have a medically fragile infant. It has some features that make it really user friendly. I like that the sock can just be put on my child’s foot- it’s comfortable and easy to put on and remove, and isn’t in the way for things like diaper changes or night feedings. Also, if you wake in the night with your child and fall asleep with them in your arms, it will continue to monitor and can wake you if there’s reason for concern. I looked at other reviewers and some of them mentioned having a lot of false alarms due to the sock not being placed correctly. However, I found if I put an infant sock or footie pajamas over the sock, it held it in place perfectly and I did not have that issue (at least so far). Another thing to keep in mind is you must have decent wifi to run this device. But I really like how it is portable and can travel with us. For our first child, we had a great crib monitor but when we traveled, we could not bring it. Although the cost of this device is higher, one of my favorite things about it is no subscription service is required- once you purchase it- it’s ready to use all features. This means you can also easily use it for multiple children, reducing the cost over time. With scary stories like SIDS and crib recalls making us parents too afraid to sleep, a device like this one can be a real lifesaver (and sleep-aid for anxious parents)! One other observation is that unless you have or purchase a separate monitor, you have to view the camera on an app on your phone. There is a “picture in picture” feature so you can do other things on your phone while keeping the window open, but if that’s annoying to you this device may not be your top pic. CONS- -additional monitor (apart from phone) is a separate purchase -high initial cost -a small learning curve to properly adjust the sock PROS- -Easy to use -no subscriptions or other paywalls to access premium features -high quality sound, video and design -portable, easy to transport design

So much information at our fingertips!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are fortunate to live at a time where technology like this Owlet smart baby monitor sock exists and provides so many parents with peace of mind, it's truly priceless. My partner and I have both worn smart watches and whoop health tracking devices for several years now, so checking our own health stats when we first wake up and several times throughout each day is such a habit at this point. So when we found out we were expecting, we just knew we would want a Owlet smart baby monitoring sock to be able to see as many health details of our baby as well, and we’re very glad to finally be able to put this to use. Being adults, we know when we are feeling run down or not right, and after years of wearing our smart health devices, we know the connections between how we feel and things such as skin temperature, HRV, sleep habits, etc. Obviously our daughter cannot tell us what she is feeling so having the ability to see all her health stats in real time is such a useful tool. Obviously it is a given that the sock is a priceless tool to have, but we love that this kit also comes with the HD camera. The camera baby monitor system is something almost every parent plans to purchase anyways when they have a newborn, so getting it in this kit where it is in sync with the sock information all on one interface is a no brainer. Living in the midwest and with a cold winter coming, we love that we can see the temperature and humidity of the nursery because again, a baby cannot easily tell us why they are uncomfortable. Overall, the piece of mind and comfort this Owlet Dream Duo kit gives is honestly priceless. We feel it is priced more than fairly for all the information it provides right at our fingertips, not to mention the fact that it could be a life saving device at a moment's notice.

Safety and Peace of Mind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just to put this review in perspective, we haven't had any babies in our house since the 1970s when our children were born. Our grandchildren were primarily born in the 1990s and now our great grandchild has arrived. Devices like the Owlet Dream Duo did not exist at that time so we were always fearful when we were not awake and they were not in direct eyesight. The Owlet Dream Duo greatly reduces those fears and provides greater peace of mind as discussed below. The Dream Duo system includes the FDA-cleared Dream Sock sensor and the Dream Sight camera with 2K HD video quality. This creates an all-in-one monitoring solution that tracks vital signs along with visual observation. For grandparents like us who live far away or visit occasionally, the ability to check on our granddaughter through the smartphone app from anywhere with WiFi connectivity is invaluable. We can monitor heart rate, oxygen levels, sleep patterns, and even view live video feeds while our granddaughter sleeps. Although we were initially worried about learning new technology, the Owlet App was very user friendly. The Dream Sock uses medical-grade pulse oximeter technology, which has been clinically tested and FDA-cleared for accuracy. The sock wraps around baby's foot and continuously tracks pulse rate and oxygen saturation in real time. If readings fall outside preset safe zones, both the bedside Base Station and the smartphone app immediately alert. Although traditional audio monitors or basic cameras might suffice for some families, we appreciate having vital sign tracking along with visual monitoring. I highly recommend the Owlet Dream Duo as it provides greater safety for the baby and peace of mind for the family.

Zero Notes!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve recently started babysitting for my cousin, who has entrusted me with her 13-month-old, and if you’re anything like me, you worry—a lot. Especially when you’re tasked with the care of a whole other tiny human. So naturally, I went on the hunt for a baby monitor that could give me some peace of mind, and this one was extremely tempting. Let me just say: this FDA-cleared smart baby monitoring system is hands-down the best I’ve ever come across. Through the app, you can check vital health stats with just a tap—blood oxygen levels, heart rate, room temperature, humidity—you name it. The sock sensor is ridiculously easy to put on, and it didn’t bother my little nephew one bit. The fabric is super soft too, which is a huge plus. The camera quality? Really impressive. The image is sharp enough to catch small details on the live feed, and the sensitivity of the sound and temperature sensors is next-level. I get instant alerts on my phone if the room gets too warm, and the same goes for any movement, sound, or crying. Thankfully, humidity levels have stayed in a good range, but since it gets pretty hot where I live, it’s a huge relief knowing my nephew is sleeping comfortably. It also comes with all the mounting hardware you’d need for a wall or shelf setup—just grab a couple of basic tools and you’re good to go. And the best part: you don’t need a subscription to access all these amazing features. The subscription is more of a bonus to enhance your experience, not a gatekeeper. If you’re looking for top-tier peace of mind and sleek design, this monitoring system is the one to beat!

What a great product!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Owlet Dream Sight streams 2K HD Video and is the latest camera in the Owlet line-up. It detects motion and sound and saves these video clips in the Owlet app. There's a built-in microphone so you can speak to your little one and the unit tracks temperature and humidity to ensure a comfortable night for baby. When combined with the Dream Sock, it becomes the Dream Duo and is a complete baby-monitoring system. The Dream Sock tracks oxygen levels and pulse to provide sleep trends and sends those to your phone app. The sock is an FDA cleared monitoring device that measures SPO2 levels and sends them to your phone app with an accuracy of +/- 3 percent. Included in the Duo System is a Dream Sock monitor that notifies you of any changes in baby's heartbeat. The camera plugs into the wall via a USB-C cable that's long enough to reach virtually anywhere in the room. They've even included cable guards that can be attached to the wall to keep your little one from getting tangled up in the cord. The rechargeable sock lasts up to 16 hours and can provide an 8-hour charge in less than an hour. Simply place the sock on the sensor to recharge. They've even included 4 socks for babies 1-18 months and 6-30 pounds. Although the sock is designed to reduce anxiety over your baby's health, we felt that sometimes it created a little more stress because we were constantly listening to/watching the monitor when we heard noises. I'm sure this is something that we'll get used to over time and we'll appreciate the benefits!

Data & Peace of Mind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Owlet Dream Duo has been such an amazing device for the little one in our home. Our daughter being a new parent has been stressful for the whole home, but the Owlet has really provided her peace of mind, which has been a relief for all of us. We all rest easy knowing that little one is being monitored when we are not in the room while they are sleeping or even napping during the day. We also have the option to view them on camera if we are worried or even curious, which is an extra peace of mind on top of the monitoring and all the sleep data we receive from the app. Overall setup of the system was a breeze and within minutes we were up and running. The sock is very comfortable and the baby doesn't even notice it being on their foot which makes this device that much easier to use. I love that we can use the camera on more than one device, and that the app is so easy to use for everyone in the house so that we can all benefit. Overall the Owlet Dream Duo has been the best gadget we have had for parenting and we highly recommend it to anyone with a baby in the home.

Wonderful Device for Peace of Mind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently used the Owlet Dream Duo while helping care for my newborn niece, and it quickly became one of those products you don’t realize you need until you have it. Getting it up and running was surprisingly easy. The app guided me through everything step by step, and both the camera and smart sock paired without any trouble. Within minutes, we were up and running and ready for bedtime. What I appreciated most was how effortless it was to use once everything was connected. The live readings of her oxygen level and heart rate updated smoothly in the app, and the app made it easy to check on her at a glance. The camera quality was sharp, even in low light, and the sound came through clearly. The alerts were gentle but reliable, enough to catch your attention without feeling overwhelming. Most of all, it gave me and my wife a sense of ease. Being able to keep an eye on her well-being without constantly walking in to check made everything feel less stressful. The Dream Duo really delivers on its promise: simple to operate, accurate, and incredibly reassuring for anyone caring for a newborn.

Peace of mind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The newest Owlet-Dream Duo (Gen3) provides peace of mind to new parents with baby’s ages 1-18months or 6-30lbs As the description mentions Owlet is a smart baby monitoring system, and comes with 1 sock sensor, 2 fabric socks to put them on either left or right foot, as well as 2 other bigger fabric socks for when baby gets bigger. The sensor just pops in and out of what ever sock you use. Lightweight and rechargeable. The camera itself features 2k resolution, has night vision, can detect if baby moves or cries etc. and you use your smartphone as the monitor. The sock sensor monitors the baby’s pulse rate as well as oxygen levels, if anything changes out of the ordinary, you will receive a notification. Overall, if you’re looking to monitor your baby while he or she sleeps, while keeping an eye on them without actually being in the same room, then this is the product for you. Everything you need to get started is included, including screws to mount the camera, power cords, socks, sock sensor, etc.

Futureistic Peace of Mind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I may slip into grand-parent mode for a moment… here’s my take on the Owlet Dream Duo (3rd Gen), from the perspective of a first-time granddad watching my new grandson (6 months old)— and reflecting on what baby monitors were like when I first became a parent thirty years ago. ⸻ What it does — and what I appreciate • The Dream Duo combines a wearable “sock” sensor (to track pulse/oxygen/sleep trends) with a high-resolution video camera you can stream to your phone. • As a grandparent who’s not in the nursery 24/7, the ability to peek in from my iPhone and see the baby clearly gives real peace of mind. • The camera has night vision and gives you more than just “is the baby crying?” — it gives a visual and data-driven window. • Compared to the monitors of the past (you know, audio only, maybe a fuzzy black-and-white picture), this is astronomical progress. Thirty years ago I had a little speaker-in-the-crib and a dial-type baby monitor; no video, no data, no streaming. I waited until the baby cried to check. Now: instant visibility and alerts. ⸻ The big difference vs the old days In my parent-days, a “monitor” meant one thing: “Can I hear the baby?” That was about it. The monitor perched on a shelf, I listened for squeaks and cries. With the Dream Duo I’m hearing and seeing and getting metrics on breathing/oxygen. That opens up a whole new category of “monitoring” — almost medical-adjacent, rather than just “I hope the baby is okay.” It feels futuristic. ⸻ What to watch out for / some caveats • It isn’t magic. The camera has noticeable audio/video lag at times and the price is high. • The wearable sock needs to be placed correctly and kept on size-wise; if not placed on properly, there could be false readings. • As a grandparent I’m also mindful of over-relying on the tech. The monitor is a tool — not a substitute for safe-sleep practices and periodic in-person checks. ⸻ My verdict (from a grandparent’s vantage point) If I were giving advice: yes — I’d recommend the Dream Duo if the parents (or you) want more than the “old-school monitor” experience: streaming video, sleep insights, remote access. It’s especially useful when you aren’t in the next room (which for me, babysitting-wise, happens). But if all you need is “hear-baby cry and check the crib,” then it might be overkill and a meaningful investment. As one who used the circa-1990s cheap audio monitor, this thing feels like driving a Corvette instead of a bicycle: cool, advanced, capable — but needs to be used thoughtfully. ⸻ How I’ll use it with my grandson • I’ll keep the app on my phone so I can glance in while I’m doing other things — without tip-toeing into his room every five minutes. • When I’m there in-person, the sock/camera give me extra confidence: “Yes, everything’s good” rather than wondering. • I’ll still walk in and see him up close; the device is supplementary, not replacement. ⸻ In short: for a grand-parent with a new grandson, the Dream Duo is a big upgrade from the “back in my day” monitor setup. As long as expectations are realistic and you use it as one more layer of vigilance (not the sole guardian), it’s solid. Would I have loved this when my kids were babies? Absolutely. Thirty years ago? I’ll admit: I was thrilled just to hear them from the kitchen.

Worthwhile upgrade from the original
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an original Owlet dream sock and always found that ability to really monitor my baby to give an immense amount of peace of mind, beyond just having a camera, but it was lacking exactly that, a camera. I've had other cameras but nothing specifically used for babies, so it was mostly massaging another type of camera to try to get the alerts and such that the Owlet camera does natively. With my new children, I wanted something better. So lets get in to it. Packaging: Straightforward, minimal. The sock, the camera, some literature, the puck that the sock connects to (too bad this isn't built into the camera to reduce overall items and tie it together a little more seamlessly). Setup: It's easy to get things rolling, the puck and camera connect your wifi and the sock connects to the puck. The puck has a light ring that shows status of the baby when worn. I will say that sometimes getting the sock on just right can be a challenge, though I will say the newest generation has less issues with connectivity and mis-reporting than the gen 1 I had before. There is a subscription plan called Owlet 360 which gives more insight into the data, but the devices to function on a free setup as well. Use: As I mentioned, getting the sock on perfectly takes a little practice, but in general it works well, it monitors heartrate, temp, blood oxygen level and it can even track sleep patterns, though that last one I've found a little less useful and more just 'interesting'. It'll alert if there's heart rate or temp concerns, and it did tell me when my baby had run a minor fever (nothing of major concern, but it's nice that I was told without having to guess outright) The camera image is clear, has it's own set of alerts based on movement and sound, tells the temp of the room and in general does well. It's specific for babies so using it in other situations isn't really viable. it's useful by itself even when you dont go through the effort of putting the dream sock on as well, like a quick nap or something similar. Overall: A worthwhile investment for peace of mind, it may (or may not) have you going in to check on your baby in person as much (I dont really know if I do it less than before but I do pull up the video a lot more now that I have it and it works well). I greatly recommend it for any new parents.

It’s a nice-to-have
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is Owlet’s 3rd generation Dream Duo package that includes a baby monitor and a sock for additional monitoring. You can buy the monitor and the sock separately in case you already have a monitor or baby wearable that you like. If you plan to get both of these, this Dream Duo package will save you a few bucks. The Dream Sight camera took quite a few tries to pair to the Owlet app. Finally, after a couple of factory resets, we got it connected. The camera has alerts for crying, sound and motion detection. Each of these can be turned on/off, or further configured based on sensitivity slider. You can also set time between notifications so that you’re not bombarded with alerts, for example, when the baby starts crying. There is also a way to use the app to stream sound from the camera if you want to use it like an old-fashioned baby monitor, say on an extra tablet or phone. The Dream Sock is the pricer of the two if purchased separately. Unlike the camera, the sock only works on 2.4 GHz wifi. I think the most useful feature is the ability to track your baby’s quality of sleep, i.e., deep vs light sleep. If your baby does not get enough deep sleep, for example, you can expect a lot of crankiness the next day. If you have a healthy baby that does not require any special attention, the sock is likely overkill. But if you’re a nervous parent, then the sock provides some “insurance” that you’re child is ok.
