We love the dream sock! The sock gives me ease of mind that my baby’s heartrate is normal and is average o2 is good. We are able to safely monitor him without entering his room and quickly see some information that helps us have ease of mind. Sock can be tempermental until you understand how to use it, but our boy never sleeps at home without it now!

Great Smart sock but needs improvement.

Packaging: The sock was packaged with everything separated nicely and in the order you needed them for set up. Setup: There is an app that goes along with this sock. One of the selling points for me. As a side note make sure you download the exact application stated on the package. Owlet has multiple apps for different socks. My first go around with setting up the sock I downloaded the wrong app since I only searched for Owlet and not the exact wording on the box. I am not sure why they have multiple apps but it made it a little confusing. Once I downloaded the correct application set up went fairly smoothly connecting the base to the sock and to my home wifi. Usage: This product is for children up to 18 months so provided are 4 socks 1 pair for infants and one pair for toddlers. This is great so you can switch feet and once your child gets bigger you can use the bigger sock so there isn’t any discomfort. My only issue with the socks is that both the infant and toddler socks where used Velcro to keep it on. For infants this was fine, but my curious toddler was not having it a different way to secure it would have been better. This was only made worse by both my phone and the base unit playing a loud lullaby to let us know that the sock had lost connection to our baby. There is no way to turn this down or off completely. I contacted support just to make sure I wasn’t missing something in the app but they confirmed there wasn’t any way to adjust the sound on the dream sock. So if you are ok waking up in a panic thinking something happened then this would be ok. We absolutely did not like waking up to find all that happened was the sock came off. Data: The best part is the data you get from the sock. How well your child is sleeping if they are tossing in deep sleep etc. This was helpful to know because we directly saw correlations to our child’s mood based on sleep patterns. Also, if your child is sick you will also see how well or bad they are sleeping and medicate accordingly. Maybe they aren’t breathing as well as they should all these are pulled into the app and are very easy to read.

The saga "continues" after a discontinue

Ok, so we all know why it's a "Dream Sock" and not a Smart Sock. O2 levels aren't read in this version but don't let that stop you from being able to monitor your child. SID's is very preventable and this just adds to your peace of mind. It allows you to walk away from the crib and not have that doubt on a baby video monitor, "maybe I should check on my child, why aren't they moving on screen?" a camera only does so much and unless your child is congested or has a snoring issue, vital signs are a sure way of keeping you in bed and resting up for the next day of adulting. The base gives off a fairly loud sound notifying you to check on your child. All in all it's still a great tool to, again, give you peace of mind.

    Newborn worries

It is very easy to use and set up. It keeps track of the babies sleep as well as the Heart rate and oxygen saturation. Bad part about it is that it could damage your child tissue. It has a red light that irritates the skin and could end up burning or leaving the foot red. The oxygen saturation only reads every 10 minutes. It is not continuous.

Gave this to my sister for my nephew. Never can be too safe. She was happy to have it and the app ready back how well he slept and his levels are all a parent could ask for. I have on for my youngest and if you babies was born with any issues, especially respiratory, this is the sock for your baby.

This is my second child but the nerves and worries are just as bad as the first baby. I've used several different baby monitors and sleep tracking devices but this one really takes the cake. The sock works in and out of bed, even if they are contact napping. It doesn't have to be in sight of a camera to track sleep quality and heart rate. The alerts if the sock falls off aren't obnoxious unlike some others I've tried. I love the app that offers suggestions for sleep quality and adapts to your personal choices when it comes to sleep training or not. I struggled a bit to get the sock paired initially so that may be a concern if you use a new internet router. But the app was able to help me trouble shoot and get set up quickly. Battery life is excellent. The only thing I would like to see different is a larger sock, my boy has huge feet and will outgrow the larger sock before he hits 18 months. I'd highly recommend this to any new parent.

Too many issues make it a hassle, not a help

While this is a great idea, there just seems to be so many tricky features with it that it is more of a hassle than a help. Firstly, I am glad I switched back to Android because Apple no longer supports the app (my brother has an Apple still) --- and this is because the item is NO LONGER FDA supported. Owlet is currently still seeking clearance in the US but the item really shouldn't be sold until the whole thing works. The whole purpose is to be able to connect it to the app and get notifications about your baby's vitals. I was directed to a website, but again that defeats the purpose because it doesn't send push notifications or alarms. Additionally, the wifi is very iffy --- sometimes it connects fine, other times it doesn't --- and this is without any significant changes. I have had to reset the app and the device a number of times and the connectivity remains spotty. One other thing --- depending on the size of your baby, the sock almost always falls off, and if your baby is wearing the footed pajamas, this is a whole extra hassle when it is falling off or not working correctly. For a $300 price point, I'd expect a product much more dependable, better connectivity, and a longer warranty (its good only for a year).

    Great for Grandparents!

I got this to use when I have my grandbabies stay at my house overnight. Their parents have one they use at home and I wanted them to feel comfortable when the babies are with me. I love how easy the app set up and usage is. Thankfully, it's never alerted me to any heartrate/breathing issues! I like that I am able to share the babies sleeping data with their parents so they can see how the night went. This Owlet lets me rest better knowing it is monitoring the babies while they are in another room down the hallway and will alert me if I need to go check on them. Nothing like this was available when my children were babies and therefore I was a nervous wreck those first 6 months of their lives. I'm grateful for this new technology that helps enable us to keep our babies and grandbabies safe and healthy!

A little extra peace of mind

Provides some peace of mind while you’re asleep. I fortunately haven’t had it alert me on anything yet so I can’t speak to the accuracy of the device, but it does provide some interesting statistics on movement, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, etc.

Bought this when my infant had RSV. I was very happy with the product. A few things I wish to see changed would be. I wish the app would have continued monitoring. And the battery would last longer x

The peace of mind having my nieces heartbeat right on my phone, and constantly monitored is more than enough to warrant this purchase. Fortunately that is not where the benefits of the Owlet Dream Sock end! The Dream App also tells us how well she is sleeping, and even gives a quick notification if she is not sleeping well. We also have all the sleep data to share with her pediatrician!

We are probably the parents that worry all too much and realize it. We love how simple this app is, how easy it was to setup, and how it stays on all night! Our biggest concern was how our son could take it off, every time we have seen him try to take it off, he has been unable to. This is a wonderful idea/gift for any worry-wort/helicopter parent.

A headache to setup with my OnePlus 8 UW. The chat support person said that the base station doing a mild slow white pulse means that the sock is updating and would be able to setup in 2 hours... The app said nothing about updating... After 3 hours of waiting, I did a reset, and then used my wife's iPhone se 2nd gen to set it up. Worked fine after that. Does give useful sleep information and gives paranoid first time parents some price of mind. My 5 week old doesn't even react to the sock being put on. Bit pricey and setup could be way better.

An amazing piece of technology, which works great for monitoring your child's sleep habits. Having so many kids, this is not a huge priority for me, but IU can see that new parents would love the extra peace of mind the sleep sock could provide. Sleep is an important element for everyone, especially developing children,

I absolutely love this product it gives me peace of mind knowing that my little one is safe and I can check on him. My husband is even able to check the cameras and his vitals through the app while he's at work. This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Our 7 month old has been wearing an owlet since he was brought home from the NICU after 40 days. We only ever had an emergency alert that said “check on baby” one time. We just had a sleep study and found out he has 15 sleep apnea episodes every hour(O2 below 90). We have done our son a disservice the first 6 months of his life by trusting our owlet. Don’t waste money on this. It’s not a medical device, only a gimmick!
